Another video i watched was with chineas people trying to write certain words to see if the idea that typing has made the population worse at remembering and writing their own characters is true (the results suggested it might be) and it was really interesting cos like i get struggling with certain words cos there are a lot of english words i probably couldnt spell first try just due to things like length and repeated consonants and unclear vowels but many didnt just write the wrong characters they wrote the right characters incorrectly and said that what they wrote they knew was very far off what the character actually looked like. which is so weird to think about when you grew up with the latin alphabet; that there are languages out there that just have. A shitton of characters. And you just have to deal with that
