After the summer festival

Nishikata's POV

"Damn! did I just hold her hand at the festival?"He said while walking to school.

Wait..Does that mean I like h---

His thoughts were stopped with a familiar voice.

"Good mornin' Nishikata!"Takagi greeted.

"Oh m-morning Takagi-san"

"Why are you so flustered all of a sudden?...Pffft..your face is like a tomato..Hahahaha"she asked and at the same time laughing.

"I-Its summer you know s-so it's hotter than usual"

"Ok if you say so...and come on let's hurry were going to be late"she said while running ahead.

"Hey wait up Takagi-san"

Takagi's POV

While I was walking to school
I remembered something.

"Did he just hold my hand at the festival?"

Omg! does that mean he won? Well I don't think he realized it though..or did he realized something els---

While I was lost in my thoughts..I saw a familiar person ahead of me..

"Oh its Nishikata I should greet him"she said to her self

"Good mornin' Nishikata"

"Oh M-Morning Tagaki-san"he greeted back

He was so flustered all of a sudden and his face was really red like a tomato..
Then I asked him.

"Why are you so flustered all of a sudden?"

Because of that I laughed which made him more embarassed..

Then he replied with his usual reasoning.

What was he thinking?I asked myself...hehe maybe because he hold my hand at the summer festival.

"Well we gotta go or will be late"I said while running ahead.

"Hey wait up" he replied

At school,inside there classroom

Nishikata's POV

When me and Takagi-san went inside the classroom.
I just saw Kimura smirking.
Well he helped me after all
Why dont I thank him or maybe not...he might get the wrong idea..then I went to my desk

So I greeted my friends..
"Morning guys"

"Oh morning Nishikata"Kimura greeted back.

Then he went over to my desk
And whispered something..

"How'd it go Nishikata?"he asked

"W-What do you m-mean?"

"Are you and Takagi san dating now?"he asked again and was about to burst out with laughter.

"Ugh? What?..N-Nooo were not!"

"Geez! Nishikata you're so slow"Kimura said.

"E-Eh?"

"Nevermind"he said while going back to his seat.

RRRRIIIIIIINNNNNGGGGG!!!

The bell just rang class is starting.

A few hours passed and school ended...

Takagi's POV

Well there was nothing new for today!!
Well I'm gonna do the usual routine...
"Hey Nishikata wanna walk home together?"

He didn't reply back is he thinking about something?
But suddenly...

"Oh yeah Takagi-san..you were saying something?"he asked.

"Yeah I said that if you wanna go---wait...you want to have a contest..If you can guess what I wa--------"

"Sorry I dont want to have a contest right now Takagi-san"he replied with a serious tone.

I was shocked by this.

Omg! Did he just reject the challenge I proposed? But he never rejects a challenge..
Something strange here..

"Oh its fine..so wanna go home together?"

"Uhmmm sure" he replied back

While they were on there way home.

Nishikatas POV

Damn I just rejected one of her challenges..Does that mean she'll hate me?she looked sad after I rejected too..I dont have the mood for contest's today thats the reason but IDK why.
I have to apologize again.

"Uhmm..T-takagi-san s-sorry about earlier for rejecting your challenge"I said breaking the silence.

"Its ok Nishikata..there's always tomorrow and some other days" she replied and then gave a bright smile.

Damn!!she's cute..Wait what the hell am I thinking

"W-Well I just dont have the mood for a contest today"

"Oh that's why...well I think I'll go this way..bye Nishikata see you tomorrow"she said while waving goodbye at me.

"yeah bye Takagi-san"

Then I continued to walk home..

What did Kimura mean ealier that I'm so slow?Hmmmm...
Guess I will figure it out soon...
