taehyung loved the stars.

the silver sequins
like scattered embers
of a dying fire,
burning dazzling white,
illuminating the dark taurpaulin stretched over the world.

they burnt
with a bright pallor
of an electric light,
yet as far from electric
as something ever could be.

terming him an astrophile
was perhaps,
an understatement
of his love for the glittering heavens.

the silver beauties were
like home to him,
a sense of warmth
in the bitter cold,
a promise of life
within the darkness.

for Taehyung had no home
except for the one
under the stars.

he lived in a house, yes,
a mere structure
of bonded bricks and cement.
yet such a bond
was nowhere in the place.

his family, for the want of a word,
for it didn't feel
like family at all,
had rifts more than he knew,
shattered orbs for eyes
not matching their fake,
happy smiles.
it was a family
he was not familiar with.

it was a nightmare
living in a place
where he was considered
an accident,
a mere disturbance,
for he didn't live
upto their expectations.

it was he who was wrong
always
maybe it was their fault
to ever consider him
as their son.

it was suffocating
and Taehyung wished to break free.

when he felt the darkness
"pressing in" on him,
Taehyung didn't let it overpower him
he embraced it.
he made the darkness
his best friend,
for he knew
with the darkness came dawn,
and under the night skies
he could find his freedom.

there was light in the dark
as Taehyung saw the stars,
loving the way they twinkled;
whispering
something ears couldn't hear.
his heart heard it all,
the sweet nothings
that told him
to stay strong
to keep going.

the loneliness had been
so cold,
his tears frozen into ice.
the abyss sucking him in,
taking over him
as a parasite.
and thus
the stars became his paradise.

Short first chapter hehe, but it's to set the mood of the story, and in this form longer chapters are hard to write.

How do you feel about this book and Tae in it?
