I Hope

I want to be brave enough to sing my own song
I want you all to know I belong
I want to be able to dance to my own beat
I want to break this patterned feat

I'd like to fly as high as a bird
I'd like people to stop gossiping about what they heard
I'd like to live to the fullest of my ability
I'd like you all to finally see me for me

I wish that you would hear me say my lines
I wish that I could finally get them right
I wish that I could play my part without fault
I wish that nobody could beat out my soul

I hope you listen to me one day
I hope that my friends I have stay
I hope I create a life I can lead
I hope you can be the people I need
