43. a. First Bath

Vernon 💙

Tonight me and Vernon are giving little Isaac his first bath at home. He is two weeks old now so we can give him a bath as his umbilical stump has fallen off. We are doing it in the kitchen as the bathroom is pretty small. My mom got us a baby bath so we can give him baths safely. Vernon starts by filling the baby bath over the sink while I get Isaac ready for his bath. "Isaac, mommy and daddy are about to give you your first bath. Let's see if you like it" I say. "Babe, can you tell me if this is okay" Vernon said. "Sure. Just watch him for a moment" I say. "Yeah just right I would say". I bring the bath over to the bench where Vernon was and Isaac was all ready to get in. Vernon wanted me to lift him in. He said he doesn't trust himself. So I lift Isaac into his bath. Vernon splashes a little water on him to get him used to the temperature. "Yay! I think you like it, Isaac" he said. "He does. That's a good boy" I reply. Vernon washes Isaac gently with a soft baby sponge. He washes his whole body. I lift him out a few minutes later and Vernon wraps him in a towel and we dry him off. I already have a fresh outfit for him and a diaper. We get Isaac dressed and he was all done. "I think you liked that. Did you, Isaac?" Vernon said. "He did indeed" I say. Isaac first bath went well and we can't wait to give him one again soon in the next few days

Joshua 💜

We can finally give Olivia her first bath today. Joshua and I are looking forward to giving our little girl her first bath. We hope Olivia is too. We are bathing her in the kitchen as we have a nice big spacious kitchen. I am running the tap to make sure the water is nice and warm for Olivia's bath. Joshua is getting her undressed and taking her diaper off and cleaning her up. "She's all ready" he said. "Good. The bath is ready too" I reply. Joshua gets the bath and brings it over to the bench. "Can I lift Olivia in?" he said. "Of course you can. You're her amazing daddy" I say. Joshua picks up Olivia and lifts her into the bath. "There we go. Make yourself comfortable, little girl" he said. Olivia splashes around in the water for a little bit. "Yep I think you like that, my love" Joshua said. I smile. I gently wash Olivia with some baby lotion. She is enjoying the temperature of the water. "Your first bath" he says. We bathe Olivia for a few more minutes before lifting her out. She almost slipped out of Joshua's hands when he was lifting her out but luckily she didn't. We wrap Olivia in a nice warm fluffy towel and dry her off gently. I get her dressed. "You almost slipped out of daddy's hands" Joshua said. "You saved her" i say. I think Olivia felt good after her first bath. It was certainly good giving our baby girl her first bath today

Jihoon ❤️

Me and Jihoon have just given Seoyeon her first bath. It went pretty well even though she didn't like the water straight away. Jihoon got her used to it by talking to her and gently splashing her with water. We have just dried off Seoyeon now and we are getting her dressed. Jihoon is doing that. "You smell so good after your first bath, baby girl" he said. "She does. I love that newborn smell" I reply. "Me too" he replies. Seoyeon was all ready now. Jihoon picks her up and carries her around the kitchen. "I can't stop smelling her, Y/ N. Hmmm" he said. "You're so funny" I say. He laughs. "Isn't Appa so funny, Seoyeon?" I say. Jihoon I such a good daddy. After a while Jihoon hands Seoyeon to me. "Hey, darling. I think you did enjoy your first bath even though you didn't really like it at first" I say. "Awwww so cute. My girls" Jihoon said. We sit on the couch as Seoyeon was due a feed soon so I did that. "Can't wait to give her another bath soon" Jihoon said. "Yep me too. In a few days we can" I reply. Seoyeon's first bath went pretty well today even though we didn't like it at first. She will get used to it when we give her more over the next few weeks

Seungkwan 💖

Seungkwan and I are going to give Beomseok his first bath this afternoon. He's more than two weeks old so it's the perfect time to give him his first bath. We've been giving him washes every other day since we came home from the hospital. We think he will enjoy his first bath. We are doing it in the bathroom as we have plenty of room there. We have just filled the baby bath with water. It's in the bath tub. "Are you ready for your first bath, little man?" Seungkwan said. "Yes I think he is. Let's get him in" I reply. Beomseok is all undressed and ready for his first bath in the tub. Seungkwan picks him up and lifts him in. "There we go, son" he said. We get Beomseok used to the temperature of the water. He starts crying after a minute. "Could the temperature of the water be a little too hot for him?" Seungkwan said. "I don't know. I thought it was the right temperature" I reply. "I suppose it wouldn't hurt just to run a little cold" he said. We run a little cold water into the bath to cool it down. Beomseok stopped crying after that. Maybe it was a little too hot for him. "That's better. Isn't it, Beomseokie" Seungkwan said. He enjoyed his first bath after that. He was in the water for about 10 minutes altogether. We didn't want to keep him in too long. Seungkwan lifted Beomseok out of the bath and I grabbed his towel. "Let's get you dried off" I say. I wrapped him in his nice warm towel and dried him off and put a new diaper and clothes on him. "You just had your first bath, son. How did it feel? I know you didn't like it very much at first" Seungkwan said. I smile. We just gave our boy his first bath today

Jeonghan 🧡

Jeonghan got back from work not so long ago and we have just given Jihae her first bath. We are going to give Haneul his first bath too now. Jeonghan was a little tired when he first got home but he didn't refuse helping me give the twins their first bath. We think Jihae enjoyed her first bath. Hopefully Haneul will too. We have put Jihae in her bouncy chair while we bathe Haneul. We only have  one baby bath but we cleaned it out. Jeonghan fills the bath while I get Haneul ready for his bath. "I hope you'll enjoy your bath just like your sister" I say. "Oh he will" Jeonghan said. A few minutes later we get Haneul into the bath. The water is nice and warm just like it was for Jihae's. Jeonghan lifts him in. "Okay, buddy. This is a bath" he said. Haneul looks a bit confused when he gets into the bath. He doesn't quite know what to make of it. I keep my eye on Jihae as we are bathing Haneul. We do the same thing and wash him with a soft face cloth and lotion. "Is that nice, Haneul?" I say. "I think he's finding it nice" Jeonghan said. We give Haneul a few more minutes in the bath before lifting him out and wrapping him in a towel. "All done. That wasn't so bad. Was it?" he said. I smile. Haneul liked his bath once he got used to it. Jihae did too.  Bathing both the twins was successful tonight

His POV

Me and Y/ N are about to give our boys Jinseo and Jaewook their first bath tonight. We hope they are ready for their first baths. We are a little bit nervous about giving them baths as we've never bathed babies before. We are going to do one baby at a time to make it easier for ourselves and plus we only have one baby bath too. We are in the kitchen getting the boys ready for their bath. Jaewook is crying his first. Y/ N asks me to fill the water. "Okay the water is filled and at the right temperature" I said. "Great. Bring it over" she said. I bring the bath over and was careful not to spill the water. Y/ N lifts Jaewook into the bath. She wanted to hold him and I said I'll hold Jinseo when he gets his bath. I think Jaewook likes the water so far. I can see him slashing around. After a few minutes, Y/ N tells me to wash Jaewook gently with some lotion. "Remember gently. You don't want to hurt him and babies skin are very fragile" she said. "Don't worry. I can do gentle" I say rolling my eyes. I wash Jaewook gently like Y/ N told me to. We got him out of the bath a few minutes later and dried him off. "Jaewookie's first bath. I am a very proud daddy. Now our other little boy is going to have his first bath" I say. Y/ N smiles. We swap the babies and get ready for Jinseo's first bath. We repeat the same process we did for Jaewook. Both the boys enjoyed their first baths today. We will be able to bathe them together when they get older

Seokmin 💚

Me and Seokmin gave little Mihee her first bath the other day. She was pretty scared of the water at first so she was only in the water for a few minutes. Today we are going to attempt to give her another bath. Hopefully she won't be scared if not we'll have to take her out again. We are in the kitchen getting ready for Mihee's bath. We did it in the kitchen the other day and we had enough room. "Okay, Mihee. We are going to give you another bath. I know you didn't like it the first time" Seokmin said. "Maybe you'll like it this time. I think we need to get her more used to the water, Min" I say. He agrees. The water was ready and Mihee could get in. Seokmin lifted her in of course. She's such a daddy's girl. "This is where you screamed last time" Seokmin said. "It was but she's not so far" I reply. "Aye. Don't jinx it" he said. Mihee seemed a lot more calm and relaxed this time. I am gently splashing her with water as Seokmin is holding her. "You like it now. Don't you, princess" he said. I smile. We bathe Mihee for a good few minutes before taking her out. "Eomma and Appa are glad you didn't scream this time" I say. "Nope you didn't. She's a bath girl now" Seokmin said. He says Mihee with a nice soft towel we got her. I then get her dressed and put a clean diaper on her. "We just completed your first bath" Seokmin said. "We did indeed, baby girl" I say. Mihee has her first proper bath today. Kinda second but the first time wasn't a proper bath. She liked it this time anyway

A/ N: I can feel like this part is a bit sucky. Never my favourite part but i always include it.

Going Seventeen is back after a couple of weeks. Can't wait to watch it later. Can I just say my favourite song by Seventeen is Snap Shoot. I love it. Such a catchy and feel good song. What's yours?
