There were two extremely distinct things about the detective's style the station was used to; he never wore short sleeves, and always wore the same jacket all year round. There wasn't a known reason for that, but that's how everyone knew Gavin. Sometimes it was wondered if the man even had any other shirts.

However, one day that jacket had been taken off and draped across the back of his desk chair, revealing that he did, in fact, have shirts that were short sleeved. Automatically, it was assumed that the heat was too much for even Gavin Reed to handle. Though there were some longer and confused stares at the detective.

It wouldn't take until a closer look at the detective's arm to notice the real reason for the lack of jacket and long sleeves; a tattoo.
