42. jeno and jaemin [fluff]

"Hey Jaem." Jeno stood in front of Jaemin's apartment door with a giant boquet of roses in his hand and a big smile plastered on his face. Jaemin melted at the sight only, took the flowers from his hand ans let the older boy in.

Today was their 3rd anniversay and although they have been dating for three years already, they still hadn't moved in together. Jaemin was in his last year of college while Jeno had a job at the coffee shop down the street.

Jaemin walked to the kitchen and filled a vase with cold water, putting them in the vase after removing the paper around them. He pulled Jeno in for a kiss, thanking him for the gift. Jeno kissed back softly as he pulled him slightly closer by his waist.

"So what are we going to do today?" Jaemin asked, still close to Jeno's body as he wrapped his arms around his neck, letting their lips brush. Jeno smiled at Jaemin curiosity.

"You'll see." Jeno led Jaemin back to the entreeway and gestured to him to put his shoes on, Jeno grabbed Jaemin's jacket from the coat rack, since he was still wearing his own, and held the coat for him so Jaemin could slip his arms in easily.

"Why are you so romantic today?" Jaemin giggled, braiding his fingers together with Jeno's and walking down the stairs.

"It's our 5th anniversary, I need to spoil my prince today." The couple exited the building and walked to their first destination. On their way there, Jaemin felt something in Jeno's back pocket of his jeans when he wanted to slip his hand in.

"What is this, Jen?" Jaemin pulled out a folded piece of paper, Jeno immediately tried to get it back from his boyfriend but Jaemin dodged every attempt. Jaemin ran away from Jeno to tease him even more. He looked over his shoulder and saw Jeno running after him. The smile, which made Jeno feel butterflies in his stomach every single time, appeared on Jaemin's face.

When Jaemin looked in front of him he halted in his steps immediately, he lost his balance for a second and swung his arms forward in circles, trying to keep himself from falling into the water of the fountain in front of him.

"Gimme." Jeno backhugged Jaemin, surprising the other. Jaemin lost the tension in his hand and dropped it in the water beneath him.

"Jaem!" Jeno immediately let go of his lover and grabbed the now wet piece of paper from the water. He unfold it and saw the ink of the black pen smudged on the paper. Jeno felt his heart sink.

"Jen, I'm sorry." Jaemin put his hand on Jeno's shoulder, Jeno looked to his side and saw Jaemin was genuinely sorry.

"It's okay, Jaem, I know it by heart actually." Jaemin didn't actually know what Jeno meant by those last words.

"What was is?"

Jeno pulled Jaemin to a vacant bench and sat down with him next to him. Jeno leaned forward, put his elbows on his knees and fiddled with the wet folded piece of paper carefully.

"It was a letter." Jeno confessed, making Jaemin frown slightly.

"A letter, for whom?" Jeno couldn't believe how oblivious Jaemin always was.

"For you, I wrote a letter for you Jaem, a love letter," Jaemin already felt his emotions fly through his body, tickles in his stomach and tears behind his eyes. "And," Jeno continued. "I'm going to read it to you now."

Jeno felt nervous, he couldn't deny that. Sure they've been dating for so long, but Jeno has never did something which he was about to do now. Pour his feelings out, his love for Jaemin.

"Dear Jaemin, you were in my chemistry class, and over and over again, you caught my attention, I couldn't tear my eyes away from you. You were so pretty, so lovely, and you still are." Jeno felt a lump form in his thoart.

He had practiced reciting the letter from the day he had written it, which was a few days back, reading it to himself over and over again. Every time he managed to keep his emotions under control, but now they were getting the best of him.

"There was constantly only one thing clouding my mind; 'Come here Jaemin, I want to hug you, because I'm in love with you." Tears surrounded Jaemin's eyes, not because he was sad. It was because he knew Jeno had a hard time talking about his feelings. He was so proud of him right now.

He looked at Jeno's face, but his eyes were glued to the soaked paper. Although you could hardly make out the words written there, he knew Jeno felt even more vulnerable when he looked Jaemin in the eyes.

Jeno took a breath to calm himself down and continued reading his letter.

"I was no hero, and I didn't know how to approach you, but when I finally did and asked you out, you said yes and I felt stronger than any superhero. I remember our first date as if it were yesterday, the butterflies went wild in my belly and my blood was pumping through my vessels when I saw you sitting on this bench." Jeno couldn't suppress his emotions anymore and let a tear roll over his cheek.

Damn he was so in love with this boy.

Jaemin shared the same emotions but tried to blink the tears away.

"You're beautiful, from the inside, and the outside. While I was writing this letter, I realized how much I love you, and how scared I am to lose you." Jeno's hand wiped away his tears quickly before finishing his letter.

"Love is fun, but also a bit scary sometimes, it's okay to run away sometimes, but only if you come back afterwards." Jaemin finally let his tears fall, he remembered when he and Jeno took a break a few years back, and to say he was heartbroken was an understatement. He was completely crushed. Fortunately, they got back together after only a few days.

"I love you dearly," Jeno sobbed. "I love you now and I'll love you forever. Thank you for being with me, thank you for loving me."

Jeno dropped the letter and buried his face in his hands, sometimes his friends told him he was too obsessed with his boyfriend. But honestly, no one ever felt the love Jeno felt for Jaemin.

Jaemin pulled Jeno up and pulled him into a hug, sobbing with Jeno. He was left completely speechless. Jeno continued to cry into Jaemin's shoulder.

"I... I love you so... so much." Jeno let out, he felt Jaemin's hand stoke his hair and Jaemin pulled away from their tight hug.

"I love you too Jeno, more than anything in the world."
