He woke up feeling miserable. His hole body was aching, especially his head and when he put one hand to his temple he could feel something wet beneath his fingers. Sitting up he looked around the dark, tiny room, still feeling slightly dizzy. There wasn't much to see though, except for rough stone walls and a sturdy looking wooden door with a tiny opening in it that provided the only source of light. All in all it seemed like a cell.

Thinking about it the purple haired male remembered that the caravan he journeyed with had been ambushed. "Damn it," he cursed. If he hadn't been so careless surely they wouldn't have been able to knock him out so easily. He didn't have the time to just lazily sit around and wait for something to happen, though. If he could just get out of this cell the rest would be easy to manage, but ...

A pained moan interrupted his thoughts and he looked around once more. There was a figure laying on the ground near him that he hadn't noticed until now. A girl, it seemed, with (h/l) (h/c) hair. She had been with one of the carriages, if he remembered correctly. The female looked around frantically while standing up on shaky legs, still not fully grasping the situation she was in. It was quite obvious that she was starting to panic. Just great.

"Calm down," he said while standing up himself and putting his hands on her shoulders to make her face him. Her (e/c) eyes were still darting around the tiny space and she mumbled something under her breath. He shook her slightly, finally gaining her attention.

"Great, now calm down. It's no use if you panic now." She blinked, obviously confused and the purple haired male sighed, trying hard to ignore his aching head. "What's your name?" No answer. "What is your name," he repeated, now slightly annoyed. Seriously, what was the matter with that girl?

Finally she opened her mouth. "Was?" Now it was his turn to blink in confusion. It couldn't be that ... could it?

"Can you understand me?" Again, no answer. This was great. Just great. He let out a deep sigh, pointed to himself and said: "Shinso." It took her only a short while this time before she mirrored his gesture saying her own name. "(y/n), yes? Do you want to get out?" He pointed at the door while still fixing her with his tired, purple eyes. "Get out?" This was stupid and exhausting and he felt like he was talking to a kid but she was his only source of help right now. There wasn't much of a choice.

"Nach draußen? Ja, unbedingt," she said nodding her head. Shinso didn't know what she said but it seemed like they where getting somewhere. "Do you have an idea how we could get out? An idea?" He spoke slowly and tried to underline his words with gestures. The (h/c) haired female didn't react at first but then she suddenly started to inspect the wooden door very closely - one could open it just a crack - and looked outside the tiny window. Then she sat down and started fumbling with one of her boots. "What the hell are you- oh, I see." She was holding a lockpick in her hand, that had been hidden in the side of her boot and smiled up at Shinso. "Die Tür bekomm ich schon auf, aber danach bin ich wahrscheinlich eher nutzlos." "I have no clue what you just said but I hope you can open this door." She looked at him, shrugged her shoulders and then stood up again and turned to the door. It opened just enough for her to get her arm through, but it seemed to be quite a hurtful position. It took her some minutes but finally Shinso could hear the faint click of the lock and then the door opened with a creaking sound.

She let him go out first and then followed after him like a second shadow. Maybe she had tried to tell him before that she wasn't much of a fighter? That could be it.

There was only one way they could follow so they made great progress until ... "Where do you two think you are going, hm?" Two bulky men were blocking their way, grinning menacingly. The girl instantly hid herself behind Shinso. "I don't know. Where do you think we're going?" "Obviously back to-," the man stopped mid sentence, his eyes had become glassy and unfocused. Now Shinso started to grin while the third man looked back and forth between them. "What the hell did you do to him, you bastard?!" He grabbed Shinso by his collar roughly looking ready to kill. "What could I have done to him?" The young man looked perfectly innocent. (y/n) tried to free her new friend out of the others grasp but failed miserably, not even bothering the man enough to push her away. "You bewitched him or-" He fell silent. "Let go of me now," Shinso ordered and the other complied immediately.

"Wahnsinn! Wie hast du das denn gemacht? Bist du ein Zauberer?" Somehow he felt deeply pleased that (y/n) sounded so obviously impressed by this little display of his powers but he didn't bother to answer her. He hadn't understood her anyway and she wouldn't either, so why waste precious time? "Now, lead us out of here." The bulky men turned and started to walk after he had told them so and the both of them followed suit.

It was easy to get past the other bandits - or whatever they were - with the two strudy males under Shinso's control. That way the couple made it out of the tunnel system in no time at all and Shinso let the two males knock each other out.

"Das war so toll Shinso! Alleine wäre ich da bestimmt nicht rausgekommen." She smiled at him while he looked at her with his head tilted, deep in thought. Then, after a short while, he took her hand in his and started walking.

"Shinso? Wo willst du denn hin?" She sounded so confused. "It bothers me," he said annoyed looking at her confused and slightly worried expression. "It bothers me that can't understand a single word you say." He looked at her, determined. "We're going to change that."
