Dakota woke up at her grandparent's house. She was tired, and her eyes were red from the smoke. She walked out of her room, cuddling her favorite teddy human she'd had since she was a baby bunny.
"Where's Dad?" She asked as she walked into the dining room. Only her mom, grandma, and grandpa were at the table.
"He's on the phone with the fire depo, Sugarcube" her grandpa replied as her dad walked in. Dakota loved how her family gave her funny nicknames.
"Okay, I have some good news and some bad news," her dad announced "The bad news is the bakery burned to the ground last night, and we need money to rebuild it. The good news is after I talked with the fire department I bought us tickets to a musical!" That's when it hit her.
