Nico POV
I trusted Leo, she was there for me when I needed her, but I wasn't so sure about her doing my hair. I just hope she's as gentle with my hair as she is with her machines.

"Alrighty my Ghost Ruler, time to see if we can actually do this."

"I used to help Bianca with her hair I should be able to detangle yours."

I was now able to talk about my sister without crying and a big part was thanks to Leo working through the pain with me.

"If you're sure. Just warn me before you start brushing."

She handed me the brush she had in her hand and pulled something out of her tool belt
"Coconut oil, should help."

Just as she finished saying that we heard screams erupt from all over camp. Looks like we weren't the only ones who were going to have to adjust. I got up to close my window to soundproof my cabin. Piper walked in and looked concerned.

"Piper whatever you're thinking it's fine. Chiron will handle it. Can you lock the door just to make sure no one comes in."

He nodded and left.

"Alright Leo lets see what I can do about your hair."

She sat in my bed and got comfortable. I sat down behind her and put some oil on my hands. As soon as I touched her head she flinched away.

"Oops sorry Neeks, I zoned out for a bit. Do you mind if I put on some music?"

I shook my head, "I don't mind. I'm going to put some oil in your hair."

Leo pulled out her phone and started playing random songs while I started working the oil into her hair. I couldn't help but blush a bit at the first one. It was You Belong With Me by Taylor Swift. I really hoped Leo didn't decide to turn around.

"Um... ow."

I looked down at my hands to see that I had managed to somehow tangle my fingers into her hair. I immediately started apologizing. She just laughed and told me it was fine so I continued massaging the oil into her hair.

Once I finished with that I grabbed the brush, "I'm going to start brushing your hair so sorry in advance if I pull it."

"Okie dokie my spooky stylist." I began to bring the brush to her head but she turned around in a split second. "Oh, before I forget, do you know how to cut hair? I'd ask Pipes but her style isn't exactly my style."

She sheepishly rubbed the back of her neck as she asked me, a habit I had noticed very early on that she has a tendency to do when she gets nervous. Now though it looked more adorable than before.

I smiled at the gesture, "I'm sure I can, just tell me how you want it."

She looked up and smiled her lopsided smile at me making my cheeks tint red I'm sure. While I was having an inner battle trying to return to my normal color Leo had changed the song and startled me when she leaped from the bed scream that this was her jam.

I watched with curiosity as she bounced around singing. She didn't have a bad voice which led me to wonder what her guy self sounded like.

"This hit, that ice cold
Michelle Pfeiffer, that white gold
This one for them hood girls
Them good girls straight masterpieces
Stylin', wilin', livin' it up in the city
Got Chucks on with Saint Laurent
Gotta kiss myself, I'm so pretty
I'm too hot (hot damn)
Called a police and a fireman
I'm too hot (hot damn)
Make a dragon wanna retire man
I'm too hot (hot damn)
Say my name you know who I am
I'm too hot (hot damn)
And my band 'bout that money, break it down!"

I couldn't help but smile and laugh as she sang Uptown Funk. She would set her fingertips on fire here and there to add to her performance.

"Neeeeeks!!! Come sing with meeee!!!"

I shook my head at her as she made a pouty face. She huffed and crossed her arms but a devious smirk formed on her lips as she turned back towards me. That was never a good sign. Uneasiness settles in my stomach as she walked to one of the beds across from mine.

The next thing I know I have a blanket thrown over my head and I'm being dragged up from my sitting position. Leo yanked the blanket off my head leaving my hair a frizzy mess. She threw it to the side, grabbed onto my arms, and started jumping around again. Sighing, I reluctantly joined in since I knew there was no getting out of this.

(Example-Leo ; example -Nico)
Stop, wait a minute
Fill my cup, put some liquor in it
Take a sip, sign a check
Julio, get the stretch
Ride to Harlem, Hollywood
Jackson, Mississippi
If we show up, we gon' show out
Smoother than a fresh jar of Skippy
I'm too hot (hot damn)
Called a police and a fireman
I'm too hot (hot damn)
Make a dragon wanna retire man
I'm too hot (hot damn)
B*tch say my name you know who I am
I'm too hot (hot damn)
Am I bad 'bout that money
Break it down

The rest of the song we laughed and passed the hairbrush back and forth as a fake microphone. By the end both of us were winded and laughing so we just collapsed onto the floor to catch our breath.

Once tee were able to breathe normally again we went back to the task at hand making small talk as we tried to conquer our hair.

Piper POV:

I had to cover my mouth as I watched from the door, creepy I know, to avoid awing at the cuteness or laughing at the ridiculousness. My other hand held my phone in my hand recording the scene in front of me.

All I had wanted to do was give them some Aphrodite worthy detangling spray but I had stopped when I saw Nico laughing with Leo.

When the song ended I stopped the recording and left the door. I shook my head at the fact that, whether they knew or not, they belong together.  They complete each other in the most complementary ways. Leos bubbly nature with Nicos tendency to stand to the side and observe brought both out of their comfort zone, Leo helped Nico loosen up and have fun while Nico helped Leo calm his energy.

I chuckled as I realized maybe, just maybe, Jason and Percy are right to ship them. Even if their way of shipping is stalking and spying with a dash of squealing like children.
