Twisted pain and broken heart

stuck in your past, you're falling apart

he learned to sew stitching himself together

broken souls, lightheaded like a feather

Acting tough

Confused to why I would feel

Strange how the words we sang for fun

Now feel like a loaded gun

Pressed between my shoulders are

the wounds left over from

Wish I'd only loved you from afar

Closing my body off from the world

but you act like you've never heard

of screaming pain and chaotic red

of crying silently in our beds
