"HELLO MISS ELIZABETH" Gigi's soft voice rang down the phone line into Crystals ear. It was times like this that Crystal really appreciated having a house phone beside her bed.
It had been an hour since the school dance and Crystals Mom had picked her up earlier than intended, something to do with work or something- Crystal didn't really pay full attention to what her Mom said to her in that car ride home because she was too busy thinking about what Jackie had said to her.
Did she love Gigi?
Somehow the thought of loving Gigi Goode hadn't crossed her mind even once whenever she thought about the girl. But now that Jackie brought it up, that's all she could think about.
But perhaps- in some ways, what Jackie had said was true. Maybe the gentle touch of Gigi's fingers brushing over Crystal's hand ever so softly meant more than she thought it did. Maybe the way Gigi's soft lips planted themselves onto Crystals meant more than just two friends experimenting; having fun.
Gigi had decided it would be a good idea to talk to Crystal after the dance, they only had that one conversation and the girl craved more contact with the other, she didn't care what they spoke about really, she just wanted to talk to Crystal.
"Hello Miss Goode" Crystals voice was light, almost in a whisper but not quite, her Dad was asleep down the hall and she didn't really want to wake him up after ten hours of working.
Gigi smiled softly at the sound of her last name on the girls lips, she sat at her Make-up desk in her room, sketching a few designs of different clothing items onto a small sketchbook. "You looked amazing tonight Crystal, I know I already told you but I needed to tell you again..."
Now was definitely not the time for Gigi to be complimenting Crystal with everything that was happening Crystal, and the things she was trying to figure out but she blushed nonetheless. "You made your dress yourself Gigi... I think that's pretty fucking awesome, I left early- did you win snow queen or whatever the most popular person at the dance gets?"
Gigi let out a snort of amusement "ha.. good one.." she said, her tone sarcastic and playful. Something she often found herself doing when talking to Crystal. "And even if we did do that for winter dances... did you not see Jaida.. she would of beat me by a mile" Gigi's tone wasn't malicious, she was just genuinely in awe of her friends beauty- she thought that Jaida was much more polished than her, Jaida's white gown that ended up knocking half of the people on the dance floor off of their feet with the large trail at the back of it.
Crystal flopped her left hand around, trying to shake off the piles of pearls and other metallic bracelets of varieties of tones that was layered upon her arm. Deciding to tilt her head over to the side of her shoulder, holding her phone between her ear and shoulder as she pulled them off. "I mean I guess... I wasn't really looking at Jaida though I was too distracted.... by Jackie! I was distracted by Jackie!"
Gigi's pen went slightly wonky, the dress she had drawn now looking more like a piece of cloth. She was most definitely jealous. Why wasn't Crystal getting distracted by her... she didn't want Jackie to be Crystals center of attention- she wanted it to be her.
Gigi's tone was higher pitched than previously before as she began to question Crystal "oh...Jackie... do you two have something going on?" She had stopped drawing at this point and her nails were just clicking off her all-white desk- she wanted to be as nonchalant as possible but she was pretty sure her tone came off as passive-aggressive.
Crystal snorted in amusement "yeah right.." she giggled- that was absurd to her. Jackie was stunning, no doubt about it- but there was no way in hell that Crystal could see anybody in that way after kissing Gigi the way she did.
