C's POV:

Amara's friends just left the fight club, just like I planned. I slipped the bartender a pill which would make someone throw their guts out and showed him a picture of Amara's friends. I told him to slip the pill in any of their drinks.

I wait another 10 minutes and see Amara storm out. She says something to Vincent and he stops following her and walks back into the building.

My angel looks so confused when she doesn't see her friends and takes out her phone. I see her face change from confused to anger in a second and feel myself get hard. Not the time or the place for fuck's sake.

I was about to go and be her knight in shining armour, her saviour when a car comes and stops in front of her.

No. No. NOOOO.

This is not part of the plan. A man gets out and opens the door for another man. Authority was oozing out of him. They speak for a moment before she pepper sprays him and makes a run for it.

I chuckle, that's my girl. But before she could make it out of the parking, the first man grabs her roughly. My anger starts boiling.

No one touches my angel like that. He brings her back to the other man and after a moment she grudgingly gets into his car.

I quickly get in mine and start tailing them. I have to make sure my angel gets home safely. I tail them at a safe distance and watch her get out of the car and in her house safely.

But my anger hadn't simmered down. How dare that man touch my beautiful baby like that?  HOW FUCKING DARE HE?

I continue to follow them and 10 minutes later the car comes to a halt. The man in the back gets out and walks into the mansion. The driver, on the other hand, carries on driving.

I roughly overtake him and both our cars brake hard. I get out and so does the man.

"What's your fucking problem?" He yells at me.

"You touched my girl," I say quietly.

"Can't hear you, you fucking twat." The man spits at me.

"I SAID YOU TOUCHED MY GIRL!" I take out my gun and pull the trigger. The bullet hits his chest and he falls down instantly. Blood starts oozing out of his bullet wound and I go to see if he's still breathing.

Nope. Nothing. I smile in satisfaction. No one hurts my girl and gets away with it.

Amara's POV:

"Mara! We said we were sorry!" I carry on walking down the corridor ignoring Xander, Hazel and Van.

"You left me at a dodgy place, alone, WITH NO WAY TO GET HOME!" I shout at them.

"It's my fault, Mara! I got really sick and had to get home." Vanessa pleads.

"THE POINT IS YOU FUCKING LEFT ME THERE!" The corridor goes silent and I don't wait for another second and walk off.

It has been three days since the fight and I haven't spoken to Vincent or my friends. I blocked Callum's number the very next day. I was thankful for him bringing me home but he was a creepy guy.

I walk into the library and thank god it was empty. I go sit at the back and open my laptop. Time to shortlist universities.

24 mins later

Ping

I look at my phone and see a text from a blocked number.

Notes are a little old fashioned. Texting seems more appropriate. Also, who knew you were a badass sneaking out of your house to go to an underground fight? - C
