She sat waiting outside the OT where her baby was lying....

She knew the case....

She knew the complications....

She very well knew the outcome and side effects of the trauma surgery...

All she can do is wait hoping he will be back to normal....

Normal....in all means.....

She was an OT nurse from the time she graduated...

She is sure Vetri wont be his usual self either.....she is sure his steady hands will shake a bit or two while adjusting the knobs of the anaesthetic machine.....

Just like hers would have had she stayed.....

She knew his family will be waiting outside praying for him just like her...

But she had no courage to go and meet the family outside....

Not now ....not in this situation.....

For the next 6 hours....all standing before the OT 3 room where praying to all the God they knew under the sky...

The parents were drowned into worry.....they weren't sure whose evil eyes had fell on the family for something drastic to happen....

Neither of them knew what to do other than hope....

Hope their boy is fit and fine...

They needed nothing else...

Him being back to normalcy was enough for his parents....

They had nothing else to wish....

In this life may be...

There were timely calls from the family back home wanting to know his well being...

But all they had in response was that the operation was going on...

A new day had dawned making all hope that the misery of the past day be swiped out....

Like a dream from their memory....

After what felt like ages,

The OT red light was turned green...and two surgeons came...

The surgeon came to the eager parents...

Doctor: surgery nala padiya mudinjidu....bayapada edum illa....for now he is stable...

Am shifting him to ICU for observation...

Moorthy: doctor....avan muzhusa seri ayiduvan la.....

Doc: 1 week ICU la irukanum apram normal ward ku shift pani progress pathu dan we can decide...

Further treatment pathi we will discuss in my cabin in 3 hours...

Enaku oru important conference attend pana iruku...

Kathir: doctor naanga avana pakalama....

Doc: illa ICU la maximum attenders illama irukarudu is better....

He is in safe hands....
