Down the stairs,
I step outside.

He yells something stupid,
as I chide.

From the box,
he holds in his arms,

I take in my own,
to find many charms.

I walk in my apartment,
setting the last box down,

It seems like forever,
since he's last been in town.

The door shuts behind me,
as he walks inside,

And before he says anything,
in his chest I collide.

"You're here, you're finally here,"
I say with happy cries.

"I know," he hugs me back
with gentle, cooed replies.

"My apartment's really small,"
I look around ashamed.

"I don't think it matters,"
he wholeheartedly exclaims.

"We'll get a bigger place,"
he adds with his chin on my head.

"But before we do,
we're gonna need a bigger bed."

I laugh into his chest,
listening to his heartbeat.

And from this moment on,
I know that I'm complete.
