Boruto: Iwabe and Wasabi: Why Can't We Be Friends

"Wasabi!" Iwabe calls. "Wasabi! Wake up!"

I open my eyes, "What happened, are we there yet?"

"Almost," he nods quietly. "You were having a nightmare."

"I don't have nightmares," I lie. 

"You don't need to lie," he says. "Everyone has nightmares."

"Well, I'm an exception," I reply as my summoned pillow poofs away.

The train stops and I stand up, "C'mon Iwa-nii, the mission is about to begin."

I march off the train and Iwabe has to jog to catch up with me. "Wasabi! Do you even know where you are going?"

"Hanabi sensei told me it is about 10 miles north of the train station, she said we'll need to hitchhike," I mutter quietly.

"Sounds like a pain," he grumbles.

I roll my eyes, "Look we've gotta get into character."

"What? You want me to carry you on my shoulder? You're scrawny enough to fit on one."

"Wanna say that again Repeater?" I say angrily.

"No Jutsu remember," he hisses.

"I don't need Jutsu to floor you," I snarl.

After three seconds of fast movement, Iwabe was pinned to the ground face first.

I notice we have an audience, "That's what you get Iwa-nii!" I say loudly. "Next time don't take my Ninja trading cards!"

I help him up, he turns to a young boy in the crowd and keeps up the act, "All I did was borrow them for one game and she beats me up, there's no respect for older brothers nowadays. What has the world come to?"

The little boy chuckles.

I take the appearance of the crowd to my advantage, "Is anyone heading North?" I ask. Two hands are raised, "Can we come with you?"

One hand is lowered and the other hand comes forward.
