We thanked everyone for the food and the help, knowing everyone on all the teams got better. In a few minutes, the bus was gonna take off, so I took my chance and tackled Bokuto and Kuroo and Akaashi in a hug. Happily, they hugged me back and told me they'll miss my stupidness.

I jumped into the bus and sat next to Kageyama again, yawning and slowly falling asleep against the window. Hinata had the best idea and told tsukishima about it. I woke up when the bus stopped, with marker drawings all over my face.

I didn't know that until I went home, and looked in the mirror. After trying my best to scrub it off I went to bed, bawling my eyes out.

The next day was so weird.

Oikawa called me waking me up, and told me that since it was a weekend, that I should come over. At first, I was like ew, the trash king is inviting me to come over. And then I thought about it and decided this would make it easier to solve my theory.
Do I like Oikawa? Or am I just another stupid fangirl?
I really hope it isn't the latter.

Dressing up casually, I walk to the address he gave me. My music blasted in my headphones, and every once in awhile I would move my feet to the beat. I would never let anyone see me like this, especially when I full out start dancing. How embarrassing would that be-

"Y/n! You're so cute," I heard a yell from the other sidewalk. There I was Oikawa crossing the street towards me. He was for some reason dressed up too, even though we were going to his house. "I saw you doing a little dance with your feet." He teased me.
I kicked his shin. "I hate you..." I said angrily, and he cried. "I love you too."

My heart skipped what felt like two beats. It feels so different when he says it, even if he doesn't mean it. I got curious when I started thinking if he actually meant it, so I asked.
"Hey trash king?" I said while entering his house. "Do you actually mean it when you say you love me?" I grinned playfully at him. "I do." He said, with no tone of flirting which meant he was serious.

My playful atmosphere dropped, returning to his serious one with more power. I turned to him and stared into his eyes with my empty ones. He returned the action staring back at me as well. Soon I couldn't hold it in and I burst out laughing, him laughing with me afterward. "You're so weird," I calmed down. "Me?! You're the one that started!" He retorted, making me laugh again.

He told me we actually weren't going to his house, but somewhere else he wasn't going to disclose. I sighed, knowing it would probably be somewhere dorky. But I fell deep in thought while he grabbed my hand and began walking.

Is this going to end well? Don't get me wrong, I would do anything for a close friend. But his fangirls glaring at me, a massive rivalry between my school and his, and him possibly messing with me? I couldn't be for sure that this small friendship he and I have built up was genuine, but a part of me was hoping it was. I would've given everything to be this close with someone.

He stopped in front of a forest at the edge of his neighborhood. "let's go!" he told me and began running into the forest, dragging me behind him. Is the death I've been waiting for? Thanks, satan, this was a terrible way to die. Welp, at least I did with him.

After a while he stopped abruptly, making me body slam him. We recovered and I got a good look at the place he brought me to. My eyes widened, taking in the view. I was presented with a clearing. It wasn't ugly, but instead, it looked cute. There was a small lake, with lily pads and flowers decorated here and there. There was a dock that looked abandoned, too. The water wasn't deep, and it was surprisingly clean.

"This is amazing, how did you come across this?" I asked as I walked down the hill, slowly standing onto the dock. "Iwa-chan and I wandered out when we were little. I wandered out a little too far and I encountered this." He smiled and intertwined his hand with mine.

"Have you ever went in the water here?" I asked innocently. He turned to me with a bewildered look. "Are you serious? Usually, there are snakes in areas like these." Turning to him, I smacked his arm. "I meant like dipping your feet in the water! Not going for a whole ass swim." I yelled, he grinned stupidly at me.

He made an oh sound and then dug in his pocket for something. His eyes lit up when he found said item. Oikawa took it out and passed me a little box. "I wanted to give it to you earlier, but I thought it wasn't the right moment." I opened the box and saw a small ring which brought the heat to both of our faces.

"... we're still in high school, " I mumbled to him. "I'm not proposing!"
I slipped the ring on and smiled at it. "By the way, is this the spot where we meet and just talk about our feels?" I teased, he chuckled in response to my joke. "By the way, I wanna invite you to my next game."

A/n: yes I know! I might've forgotten which parts go before which, but is so this couple can build up emotional trust! I'm sorry for the inconvenience

My eyes widened. "Isn't it against my team?" I asked in a whispered voice. He nodded, looking somewhat frustrated. "You're so dumb." I laughed to myself. "I'm their manager, of course, I'm gonna be there, " He bashfully smiled at me. "I forgot..."

"But I'll be there for you, I promise." I softly smiled looking down and our hands, that were still clasped together. "There will always be more space for growth." I looked up from my lap and saw him with wide eyes, and he returned to his normal look. Only for it to turn into a small soft smile, similar to mine.

What made me smile brighter, was that I could tell his smile was genuine.
