Stanley's POV

I had no idea that Bill's wife was coming back with him. Nobody had even bothered to tell
me.

"It's nice to meet you guys," Audra said a little harshly.

"Mhm," I mumbled.

"Stanley?"

I looked up and seen Bill. "Come here."

He led me to our room, and his wife gave me a weird look.

"I'm sorry," Bill gripped his hair. "I just- I freaked out when you tried to kiss me! I shouldn't have run off like that."

I didn't answer. Nor did I bother to look at him.

"Stanley, please talk to me."

"Give me my knife."

"No," he said sternly.

"Please."

"That's like me giving you permission to kill yourself, Stanley!"

I didn't argue. I knew he was right. I just walked out of the room and went back downstairs.

"Uhm, Stanley right?" Audra pointed to me.

"That's me."

"Do you have a wife?"

"Do I have a-" I repeated quietly. "Yeah, I-I do. Why?"

"I'd like to meet her."

"Why?" I asked suspiciously.

She looked at Bill with an almost angry look as he was walking down the stairs. "I just do."

"I could- I could call her-"

"Okay. Call her."

I pulled my phone out and called Patty, who answered almost immediately. "Hey, uhm. Do you want to- Do you want to come down to Derry? There's someone that wants to meet you."

"Yes, I do. I want to see you."

"Okay. When you get here, there should be a Chinese restaurant that you see. Call me when you get there."

"Okay. I love you," she said happily.

"I- Bye," I hung up.

"Stanley," Bill grabbed my arm. "Please."

"Please w-"

"Please what?" Audra asked.

"I need to talk to him."

"About?"

"Personal stuff."

"Bill," she looked him in the eyes. "Are you- Are you-" she stopped. "Are you gay?"

"No-" I shook my head. "He's not- He's not gay-"

"I don't care if he is, but I wasn't asking you."

Bill ran his hand through his hair. "I'm uhm- No. I'm-" he seemed to be struggling to find words. Or maybe he was confused. "I don't want to talk about this right now."

"Stanley, are you?" she looked at me.

"Why does it matter?"

"I have reasons."

"I'm uhm- bisexual."

"Wait, what?" Eddie looked at me. "You didn't tell us?!"

"Eddie- Not now," I looked at him with a stern look.

"Cool. Anyone up for drinks?" Audra smiled.

We all nodded.

This was going to be one hell of a night.
