Stanley's POV

I went and picked up Patty from the Chinese restaurant and brought her to meet everyone. "Uhm, this is Patty."

"Hi!" she said excitedly. "Oh, you must be Audra."

"Yup," she smiled.

"Stanley, I'm serious. Talk to me," Bill whispered to me.

"Not. Now."

"Later," he nodded and I agreed.

I love him.

I love him a lot.

But I'm married. He's married. It'll never work.

"You're awfully beautiful," Audra complimented Patty.

"Thank you."

"It's nothing."

"Richie and Eddie, stop acting like you're thirteen and quit flirting with each other," Mike said.

"Leave them alone!" Beverly whined.

"Come on," Bill grabbed my hand and stood up. "We're talking. Now."

"I'll be back, Patty," I got up and followed him back to our room and shut the door. "Okay, what? You apologized. There's nothing else to it."

"You tried to kiss me."

"If I'm not mistaken, you did kiss me in the hospital."

"I was scared, Stan."

"So, if Beverly was in the hospital, you'd kiss her because you were scared?"

"That's different."

"How? How's it different?"

"Because, Stanley. It's just different!"

"How the hell is it different?!" I said angrily.

"Because, I don't love her, Stanley!" he practically yelled.

Neither of us said anything. "You don't love her? What's that supposed to mean?"

"And you call me a dumbass."

"No, I want you to say it. You won't."

"I-" he began. "I-"

"See? You can't say it. Because you don't. You might want to, but you don't."

"I don't know, Stan."

"You don't know what?"

"I haven't felt like this towards a man since we were kids. I'm confused."

"Confused. Right. Okay. So, why'd you want to talk?" I say walking to the door.

"I'm sorry."

"Okay," I shrugged.

"Can I give you a hug?"

I looked at him with a smirk. "Come here. Don't you dare cry."

We wrapped our arms around each other and I felt something warm hit my shoulder. "Stop crying."

"I'm sorry."

"Stop apologizing."

"I'm-"

"No."

We both laughed and backed out from the hug. "I love you."

I just stared at him.

I love you.

"I'm sorry- what?" I looked at him with a confused look.

"You heard me."

I couldn't help but smile. "Okay."

"Okay? That's it?"

"Yup. Okay," I opened the door and walked out smiling bigger than ever.
