Pick Up Lines

Ethan

You were currently on patrol and Ethan seems to be on edge since the beginning of the day.

He did kiss you on the cheek the previous night and he seems to be all too embarrassed to look you in the eye now because of it.

It's not his fault that he's acting more tensed up and aloof than usual though.

It was you who looked at him with wide eyes and a gaping mouth like a frigging goldfish when he took the initiative to express his feelings after all.

Now you have to fix things with him if you don't want him to start acting like a robot and treat you like a wall.

You thought about what to do and something cheesy popped in your head.

As soon as you rounded the corner and got the boy to momentarily lock eyes with you to make sure you were following him, you smiled and spoke.

"Hey, Ethan, I think I'd make a good photographer." you said, already slapping yourself in your head for starting something so stupid.

Ethan's eyes widened at your sudden statement and after a moment of pondering opened his mouth, "Huh? Why?" he asked.

You were glad he gave the right response and you sighed internally for your god given chance.

"Because I can picture you and I together and it's beautiful." you said with a hesitant smile and a thumbs up, hoping you pulled it off properly.

The boy once again fell silent and stared at you for a few agonising seconds, a mix of surprise and confusion on his handsome face.

He then smiled at you upon realising the intention behind your words and leaned in for a quick kiss on your lips.

"I agree." he responded before taking your hand and continuing with the patrol.

"That's a bit embarrassing though, so don't do that again."

Eugene

You've been following Eugene around since earlier that day and no matter how much you attempt to start a conversation with him, he kept ignoring you.

It wasn't because he was angry or upset though.

You were even having a good conversation the previous day and he seemed to be in high spirits, telling you all about himself and what he did before the apocalypse.

But then the topic wandered to the subject of romantic relationships and he mentioned that he has never had a girlfriend before.

You listened intently to his ramblings with the smile that he loves so much plastered on your pretty face and he couldn't help but blush every time you lock eyes.

"You know, I don't plan on having a girlfriend anytime soon. Especially with what's happening to us right now." he commented nonchalantly making you pout.

He then looked at your reaction and continued talking, "But maybe if we could get to a better place where it's safer... And you are interested... Then maybe I will..." he stopped and held the conversation there.

You asked what he wanted to say next but the boy turned around and ran away from you, seemingly regretting what he previously said.

The whole day then passed with him avoiding you like the plague and somehow, it made you more curious about what was on his mind.

You weren't able to sleep properly and now you're filled with even more eagerness to get him to open up.

You marched right up to him after his patrol with Sue, something you weren't happy seeing, but he turned around as soon as he caught sight of you and gave you the cold shoulders, pretending you weren't even there.
