He's a good person? Ok, definitely.

...And I assaulted no one.

----

Jaeyoon comes with a thin delicate-looking file in his hand, and a smile. "You need to sign here and here, then we're officially workmates." He hands her a pen from his pocket.

"Whoa, hold it there."

"What's up? You want to change the conditions? Which one?"

"N-no! It's just... actually... I'm still a university student. Although I'm currently on a break, but I'll be back soon and... this honestly looks inviting, but I-"

"Rest assured! You have the full right not to sign this, and you'll still get the money."

"I mean, I was wondering if your company is still willing to work with me in this state?"

"Ahh, I see. I'll have to ask my superior first." He pauses. "But personally, I think it's alright. Some of our workers are pursuing their master degrees and they're still working here."

"We're all good people here, alright?" He stifles another sincere smile.

Everything he does always looks very sincere. How is that possible? I mean, since life sucks and all that.

"I'm not that cool, it's just an undergraduate degree..."

He starts tapping things on his phone then places it on his ear, as he lets out another chuckle. Cute.

----

"Why did you choose to be an artist? Like, what was the turning point?" He's asking her questions to buy some time for the contract.

"That's kind of a tough question, sir."

"Sir? Really? Call me Jaeyoon, come on. Jae...yoon. J-a-e-y-o-o-n." He's giving her a mini class which she never asked, as he operates the faximile on his desk and it starts emitting papers. Loads of them.

"Alright, Jaeyoon." She mutters.

"I was serious when I said that you must be very popular."

"Define popular."

"You seem really... likeable?"

"So, it's safe to say that you like me?" He's grinning with both his lips and his eyes. It would've sounded creepy if it came from other people. But his tone and face just saved, everything.
l
"You're also very likeable yourself, what are you talking about?" He says. The timing is off, Jaeyoon. I don't buy that.

"Thanks, I'm definitely claiming that, though you're a first."

----

"Jaeyoon, has she left already-" A familiar voice blurts from her back. It's him.

"Don't be too sad, but I'm leaving." She scoffed. She hanno idea to why she has the urge to be rude. It just suddenly came to her.

"Okay, what's this tension I'm feeling between you two? You know each other?" Jaeyoon asks, glancing at each of them and getting no response. "Taeyang?" He asks the Chairman, startling him but he immediately shakes his head – raising her blood pressure.

Her eyes riffles upwards in annoyance as she lets out a sigh, "I just... happened to meet him last night, in front of his office. He was-" She halts herself.

The possibility of him wanting to keep whatever there was to himself, pops up.

He didn't seem fine last night, and it's possible that all of the I-don't-know-her thing was only an act.

"Never mind. I was lost and just that." She mutters. She looks at the bunch of papers on Jaeyoon's desk and grabs them, "Is this the contract?" She asks him.

Jaeyoon is dumbfounded but he nods.

After checking the terms briefly, she immediately signs the contract and says, "Thank you, see you... when I see you. Bye, Jaeyoon!" She doesn't even glance at the Chairman before leaving.
