Chapter 25 - Who Was It?

Veronica's POV
When Archie told me about Betty a scense of dread overcame my body, she had told me and Toni both about what her dad would do and honestly, if you were to ask me, I'm glad he's dead cause the amount of pain he caused Betty MY best friend made me really angry and if he were still alive, I'd be going over to that house with an axe and be chopping him into pieces within 20 seconds, I was getting changed into a simple pair of leggings and a white crop top, not my usual style but it was fast, and swung my hair into a messy bun and grabbed my phone and purse, I called my driver smithers to give me a lift, so he drive me to Betty's and I was there within minutes, "Thank you Smithers" I said getting out of the car, "No problem miss Veronica" he said and drove away.

Toni's POV
Jughead called me and I instantly grabbed my keys and jumped on my Motorcycle as fast as I could, Betty told me about the abuse she suffered when her dad was there and nobody should have to fo through that EVER, especially not Betty she was so sweet and put everyone before herself, I needed to get to her fast, I pulled up outside her house and saw Veronica getting out of her car as well.

Betty's POV
I was sat in my room sobbing, I thought the shit period of my was over but no nothing can stay so good for long can it, I decided to get up and go into my bathroom, I cleaned up my face, wiping off the blood and cleaning the cut with stuff from the first aid kit, once I finished up I walked back into my room and sat on my bed listening to music when I heard a tap at the window, I didn't know who it was but I acted like I didn't hear it and didn't look around to see, if I did they wouod have seen my face and I couldn't explain this, "Oh my dad that was supposed to be dead is suddenly back and decided to beat me up oh and let's not forget about him actually being the one behind Jugs accident" I didn't know for a fact but when he was hitting me and stuff he said "now you BOTH will pay" so I'm assuming he's was behind Jug, I just kept listening to my music and I heard another tap, I took a picture, pretending of myself and saw V and Toni looking down trying to find a way in, I was so happy to see them so I got up and ran over to the window opening it up, "Omg Betty! Are you OK?" Toni said as she climbed on through the window, "Umm yeah", "B we know about some guy in here, I'm assuming he was the one who gave you all these nasty bruises?" Veronica asked, "How did you guys know?" I asked confused, Toni pointed over to the window to archie's room, where I saw him and when I looked over he tried to duck away, "I don't think I've ever been more happy to see you all" I said relieved, "Betty who was it?" Toni asked, "Guys this is gonna sound insane but it was my dad" I said slowly, "B your dad is dead" Veronica said, "Yeah Betty" Toni added, "Apparently he was sick of my mom and knew she wouldn't let her leave so he thought he would just fake his death" I said, tears welling up in my eyes, "Oh my god Betty we're so sorry" Toni said, "Yeah B we didn't know" "How could you have but guys it was my fault with Jug, he called me a few weeks ago and said if I didn't break things off with Jug that he'd hurt him, and now he did" I said breaking down, "No B you did not do this!" Veronica said, "But I did if I just would've listened like he said jug wouldn't be in this mess" I said fully crying now, "Betty listen to me, this is not your fault you did not cause this, this was that monsters fault, okay?" Toni said, "Okay" I nodded still not fully believing it, "Guys he's down stairs with my mom, I can't stay here" I said, "I know we're going to call Jug okay?" Veronica explained, "No no no no no he can't know about this" "Too late B archie called him first, Jug called me" Toni explained, I let out a deep sigh, "Fine" I say, Toni goes off to call Jug and me and Veronica sit in silence.

Toni's POV
I called Jug and he said and I quote "GET BETTY THE FUCK OUT OF THAT HOUSE RIGHT THE HELL NOW" So I'm getting her out now, "Come on Betty, Jug said to get you out of the house now" I explained, "Guys he's right downstairs" she said worried, "I know just come with us and do not look at him"
