"So what do you wanna do?" Coelth asked me after namin mag-settle sa kani-kaniyang kwarto sa Casa Ladrillo, one of the private Casas in the resort that has a rustic yet classic design and also a European interior.

"Kain tayo I'm famished." I held my tummy and pouted a bit he chuckled and then brought me to another old fashioned building.

"This place is so amazing." Mesmerized by the interiors and the designs of the bulding made my eyes bawl.

"Dadalin na sana kita noon dito but things happened."

Confused I looked at him wanting for him to add more detail but he was already talking  to someone who led us to our table.

He pulled out a chair for me when we reached a table for two

"Mag-tour tayo mamaya tapos mag-beach." He pulled out a small blue leather journal from his little bag

"Okay but how long will we stay here? I mean you have a job." Ngumiwi ako nang maisip na iiwan nito ang trabaho para lamang makasama ako.

"Liedin offered to take charge of my projects and plus ngayon lang ako nag-file ng leave. One week." He put his mini journal on his bag and looked at me

"I already prdered food so let's just wait." He smiled but and that smile fainted when he looked beside the bag I brought.

"What? Yan lang yung bag na dala ko."

"Mom gave that to you." He smiled again

I felt weird.

"Yeah. When will I see her?" I asked him looking at the bag too

He heaved out a sigh "After three days we will leave the resort and we will visit her." He clicked his tongue
"The remaining four days doon tayo sa villa namin tutuloy."

"Thank you for taking me here but you could've given me a heads up." I tried to ease the weird  thick tension wrapping our atmosphere

"Paano magiging surprise yon?" He innocently asked me eyes twinkling

Sasagot na sana ako nang may mag-lapag ng pagkain sa hapag.

Seafood Kare-kare, Bulalo, Caldereta and a bowl of rice was served. I suddenly felt my mouth watering.

"Eat up." kinuha niya ang kanyang plato at nilagyan ng mga putahe sa harap namin saka kanin at iniabot iyon sa akin.

malugod ko namang tinanggap at kinuha ang platong wala pang laman saka iyon akmang lalagyan ng pagkain para sa kanya ngunit inangkin niya.

"Let me." He smiled and served for himself

"This is our getaway place." Panimula nito habang kumukuha ng caldereta. "Pag kunwari ay tapos na ang hell week ay dito ang destinasyon namin." He chuckled as if he remembered something funny

"Dito rin unang nakita ni Kaedan babaeng kinababaliwan niya ngayon." He shook his head "That dumbass."

"who?" I tried to ask him but he just smirked at my question

"you'll see"

Napaisip ako saglit ngunit pinagpatuloy ko nalang ang pagkain ko

"Dito na ba nakatira si Tita?" I asked while I sipped through my glass

Napaubo ito kaya agad kong inabutan ng tubig.

"Here."

He grabbed the glass from my hand and immediately drank from it

He wiped his mouth after drinking almost the whole glass

"Yeah she kinda is." He quipped

Tumango ako at pinagpatuloy ang pagkain.

"Azaiah's dad..." he muttered while gathering rice and pieces of vegetables of his Kare-kare

"What about Azrich?" Napataas ang kilay ko nang biglang mabanggit nito si Az

"Sino siya sa buhay mo?"
