Dream pushed past trees and bushes calling for blue. An normal person would question how a short little thing like blue could get far- but they obviously didn't know the spur of energy, if he wanted to- he could be half way across the multiverse by running alone- Dream was just about to call Ink for backup when all of a sudden he heard a voice. He silently drew his bow and crouched behind a bush- peeking over. There was blue! Dream was excited, blue didnt look hurt or anything so that was good. He paused, a second voice sounded. It sounded slightly raspy with a sneer to it, whoever it was didn't sound good. He peeked further over the bush to see a hooded silhouette in front of blue. Their jacket was stained with a grey substance and he looked up further to see his eyes. They were a dangerous mix of red and blue in one and plain red in the other. Dream immediately loaded an arrow, he knew who the stranger was. The stranger had taken the iconic name of what they were always covered in, Dust.
Blue stopped talking to dust when he suddenly heard a rustle. Dust seemed un-disturbed as he casually stared at Blue. Blue had noticed him watching the fight so he had gone over to talk to him and somehow they had just wandered a bit while doing just that. Blue just assumed it was another squirrel or something. He turned back to dust, who hadn't stopped staring, this always confused blue, ever since they had met dust would always stare, he wondered if it was just like "his thing" or something. Another rustle sounded, "Do you hear that?" Blue asked. Dust broke his stare as his eyes slowly scanned the area. Blue had always liked how cool Dust's eyes looked.
Suddenly Dust's eyes stopped. Dust knew someone was watching him, or rather..them. He smiled as he walked towards the bush. " Say I don't know Blue, you might just be hearing things." he rolled his eyes back to Blue, who was perky as ever. " Are you sure..?" he asked. Dust liked when blue would look at him like that, like he was the best monster in the world, like he would have any answer to any question he asked, like he was everything. He shrugged. "I dunno.." he trailed off, " but if there was something here making noise, it'd be a shame if it stuck around...since it's so.....disruptive." He walked back over to Blue. " You have a really weird way of saying things Dust-" Blue responded, crossing his arms a little. Was he trying to mess with him? There was no way someone could be that innocent and adorable at the same time, yet Blue seemed to amaze Dust every time, it made Dust feel ecstatic, that cute little attitude, the all forgiving smile- always for him, even when Blue was not aware of him, he was always there..It was always. For Him.
Dream was angry, dust had made it clear that he should scram, and dream would attack but dust was too close to Blue and he didn't want Dust trying anything. Dream pulled out his phone silently, bow still in one hand, and shot a quick text to Blue, he waited. Blue had started his rambling, completely oblivious, when his phone buzzed, Dream watched as he pulled out his phone and checked it. "Oh- Sorry Dust! I have to go! Dream needs me-" Blue waved goodbye to Dust as he ran off back in the direction of Ink and Error's battle. Dust glared sharply at Dream's hiding place. Dream shuddered, he watched as Dust opened a portal, and moments before going through, sang " You will regret that.." he then disappeared. Dream shook his head and quickly stood up and ran off the same directions of Blue. 'Today is not my day-'.
Error, to put it lightly, wasn't doing good, screw it- he was doing horrible! worse than horrible! whatever word you used to describe someone who was losing the fight and a few limbs! He had tried to get the upper hand by using his strings, but he hadn't been paying attention, he hadn't noticed that during their fight all those sharp bones being thrown, had little by little been cutting his strings. The strings snapped and let go, causing Error to be caught off guard and fall.
Error had been drained of his magic oh so long ago, so now he had to deflect all of Ink's attacks via close combat. He gritted his teeth together as ink used red paint and hit his arm. The acidity of the paint made a hissing sound. Error hardly had enough time to think before ink rushed him with his brush. Error held up his hands to block ink- only to realise the red paint had caused his arm to be severed. The process had happened so quickly, how could he not notice it was gone-? Had his pain tolerance grown that tough? No way-! Was it adrenaline? Error had a rush of thoughts, but was cut short as ink struck him again- this time, error let out a scream of agony.
He was knocked back against a rock, now immobile and without the use of his strings. Error had lost. He watched his arm- already dusting a bit, if he could get out of this mess all he had to get close enough to his arm for them to heal back on, a painful process, but not as painful as losing them. Ink shook off his broom, getting rid of the red paint. Error frowned, he had remembered putting ink in this position before, missing an arm and a leg Error had watched the artist struggle, that was the last time he was able to get the upper hand over the artist. usually he was so good at fighting Ink, why did today just hate him? It was almost like this whole day had been written out and planned carefully, and maliciously for his demise.
Suddenly, Error watched as Blue and Dream appeared from the bushes, horrified looks passed on their faces when they saw Error. Error sighed, 'who wouldn't..I look fucking terrible.' Ink, holding a black, red blood covered Ink bone, was about to stab Error, who was now on his little remaining what had been rumored to be infinite HP. Dream let out a shaking shout, "Wait! Ink! We can g-go now! You've made your point!" Error glanced at Blue, he looked..scared..he recognized that look anywhere.
Error had kidnapped Blue some time ago, ending with them being what Blue would consider Friends, Error glared at his so called friend. Blue gave him a look only described as a regret. Error knew that Blue wanted to help, Error cringed from a sudden shot of pain, but Ink had those two wrapped so tightly around his conniving finger that they wouldn't dare help an enemy in front of him, especially under the influence of paints. Error watched them one by one leave him.
He sat there, bleeding and dusting out. "What a pathetic way to go.." A deep voice said despondently. Error whipped his head back and forth trying to identify the voice, he landed on the tree line. A shadow emerged, it was hard to see '..wait' Error squinted, the shadow was the person! The Monster was covered in black liquid, which surprisingly didn't pool at their feet, four tentacles swayed behind them, their face, a unwelcoming smile and a single crisp bright blue eye. " I don't think we've properly met."
