Annie's POV:
Today is my birthday. I want to be positive but it does feel bittersweet knowing that I don't have my brother around to celebrate!
"Hey Annie!" Asher said coming up behind me.
"Hey!"
"It's your birthday but you look so glum, what's wrong?!"
"Umm, I guess that it's just hard, you know, celebrating my birthday without Caleb!"
"I know but at least you still have Hayley around and you have friends like us who are going to make sure that you have the best birthday ever!" I pulled him into a hug.
As soon as I was in his embrace, something made me not want to let go. I wanted to be in this moment forever!
"Right, I have to get ready, I'll see you soon!"
"Yeah, ok!"
"Bye Anns!"
"Bye!"
As he left, I promised myself that I was going to enjoy myself. That is what Caleb would have wanted me to do!
