About: This book is about Ben, who is kicked out of their house when they come out to their parents as non-binary. They then move in with their sister, who ran away years ago, and their brother-in-law, who teaches at their new school. All Ben wants to do is keep a low profile, but when they befriend outgoing Nathan, everything changes.
My thoughts: This was the first book that I ever read with a non-binary main character. When I first started questioning my sexuality, there were so many new phrases and labels that I didn't understand, non-binary being one of them. This book helped me understand what it meant to be non-binary. The characters are amazing and the author's writing style is beautiful. The only reason I'm giving this a 9/10 instead of a 10/10 is because the plot is a little too slow at some times.
