*Daniel's POV*
It's early in the morning and I've just finished PT.
Today was the last day, I'm getting let out this afternoon.
The doctors discussed that I am doing good and can leave.
I am so happy!!
I called Tyler and Christian to come and bring me some actual clothes.
I've been in this hospital gown for wayy to long.
"Hey." Christian says and enters the room.
"Hey guys!" I say and smile at them.
"This is great isn't it?!" Tyler says and gives me clothes.
"I know! I'm so excited, it's amazing!" I say.
I go to the bathroom and change into the clothes.
I look at myself in the mirror.
"Wow." I mutter to myself.
I haven't looked in a mirror for a really long time.
To be honest, I forgot what I looked like.
I feel tears sting my eyes and look away from my reflection.
After a few seconds I look back.
I see the stitches on the side of my head, even though they're fading, it's still visible.
I look at my ears and temples and see faint bruises.
I lift up my shirt and see marks on my abdomen.
I sigh and wash my face off with water.
Will Y/n still love me?
Even though I look so scarred and beat up?
My heart drops.
What is she just likes me out of sympathy?
Am I good enough for her?
Before I can think of anything else, I hear a knock at the door.
"You good?" Christian asks.
"Yep! I'm fine!" I say and wipe the tears from my eyes.
I open the door and put a smile on my face.
"Hey- why don't we go out to get something to eat? Just us guys, it would be fun." Tyler suggests.
"Alright, I'm down!" Christian says.
"Okay, I guess." I smile.
"Let's go!" Christian says and they walk out the door.
I'm still standing there, too afraid to move.
"Daniel? Are you coming?" They ask, turning around.
"Yeah... It's just- I haven't been out of here in months." I mumble.
"Oh." They say and come back in the room.
"It's kinda nerve-racking to be honest. But it will be okay. I got this." I say and walk out of my room.
As I get to the automatic doors leading outside, I take a deep breath in.
The doors open and I step outside and breathe in the cool air.
The sun is beating down on my face with an almost tangible warmness about it.
I open my eyes and we walk to the car.
I get in and we drove to the nearest restaurant which is Olive Garden.
"This is a little fancy don't you think?" I ask, stepping out of the car.
"I mean, you're getting released! It's a celebration!" Tyler says, also getting out of the car.
I shrug. "Eh, I guess."
"Okay, let's go." Christian says and walks inside.
Tyler and I follow.
We get seated and order.
While waiting, Tyler asks me a question.
"Are you ready for this afternoon? We have to go down to the police station."
"Yeah." I nod my head.
"Can we not talk about it though? I kinda just want to have a good time right now." I say.
"Yeah, sure." Tyler says.
"So what have you been up to?" I ask both of my brothers.
"Uhm nothing really." They both answer.
"Daniel-you don't have to talk about this right now if you don't want to- but who is that girl that came to visit you? She was holding the flowers?" Christian asks.
"A friend? Why, what have you heard?" I ask.
"Nothing... I was just wondering...she's kinda cute." Christian replies.
I smirk.
"Oh, I see." I smile.
Christian blushes and looks down.
"How come none of us has ever met her?" Tyler asks.
"I mean, I don't know. There's a lot you don't know about us to be honest. There's a day when we'll explain everything." I answer.
"Oh-okay." He says.
I mean forward. "She's a good girl though. I definitely approve." I smile.
Christian and Tyler laugh and the waiter comes back with our drinks and food.
"Thank you." We each thank them.
We talk about sports and life the rest of the time.*Phoebe's POV*
I'm sitting in the doctor.
"Thanks again." I tell the doctor.
"No problem, take care of yourself, alright?" She says and I nod and walk out of the building.
I get into my car and lock the doors.
I'm not taking any chances.
Yesterday, I reported Sam to the police and now there's a city wide man hunt for him, considering he was already suspected from what Daniel apparently told them.
I don't know where Sam is- and that scares me.
He knows where I live.
He has a key to my house.
I don't want to go home, and I don't want my parents to see me like this.
I don't have many friends, so that leaves me with two options.
Eben or Christina and Y/n's place.
Eben is friends with Sam, and Sam would go there if anything happened.
And something did happen so...
Christina and Y/n's place it is.
I drive there while listening to The Wallows in the car.
As I'm about to step out, I see myself in the rearview mirror.
My eye is bruised and I have limp because Sam kicked my side so many times.
I take the elevator up to their floor and knock on the door.
After a few seconds, Y/n opens the door.
She stops and looks me over.
"Phoebe?" She questions.
I nod my head, silent.
Christina comes to the door behind her.
"Oh my gosh Phoebe! What happened?" She questions and pulls me inside, wrapping me in a hug.
"S-Sam hit m-me." I choke through tears falling down my cheeks.
"Sam? Oh my goodness! How does he know you!? He's such a-" She starts but Y/n interrupts.
"SAM? As in Sam Starkey!?" She asks.
"Y-yes." I choke out.
We all go and sit on the couch.
"Tell me everything." Christina says and holds my hands.
"Okay." I nod, wiping my tears on my shoulder._______
