• Chapter 15 •

(A/n) Sorry if (Y/n)'s character seems inconsistent. I pretty much just base it off my own personality, and i'm a pretty inconsistent person 💀

I looked out to see the pirates sleeping around a little campfire.

"Out of all the places this could've led, of course it led right to the pirates that are planning on killing us." I whispered turning to look at Jim. "Just lovely" I whispered.

"What happened to optimistic (Y/n)? I kinda miss her." He joked, chuckling quietly.

"Ha. Ha. Very funny." I punched his shoulder playfully.

B.E.N. popped his head up, "So what's the plan!" He said extremely loud.

In a moment of stupidity I shouted back at him "B.E.N. Shut the-".

Jim covered my mouth with his hand before I could finish. I, of course, felt my heart flutter at his touch, you know, the usual.

"Shhh. Please be quiet..." Jim said taking his hand away from my mouth. I just nodded in response. He turned to look back at the pirates.

Jim looked like he was thinking, I was too, just probably not about the same thing. He was most likely just thinking about a plan. I couldn't stop thinking about Jim. It wasn't the time but I couldn't exactly just tell my thoughts to stop, it doesn't work like that. I was just staring at him thinking,

I wonder when he said that he likes me too if he just meant as a friend? I mean that's the most logical thing. Then again I don't know. I want to make the first move, or am I just tired of waiting, but ugh I just don't know. I wonder what it would be like to kiss him...probably amazing. His hair looks so soft. His thinking face is so cute, he looks so serious.

I was snapped out of my thoughts by the sound of Jim's voice, he had realised I was staring at him. "(Y/n)? Hello? Why are you staring at me?" He asked.

My face turned to a deep red colour, "Oh sorry, I was just....uh thinking." I wasn't lying. I just wasn't giving him what I was thinking about.

~ Jim's P.O.V.~
I was trying to think of some sort of way we could get out of this mess. I was surprised B.E.N. could stay quiet for this long, he was annoying but for some weird reason, helpful.

I felt like someone was watching me, I was getting worried that maybe one of the pirates were awake and trying to sneak up on us. I turned to tell (Y/n) but she was the one who was staring at me.

She didn't even notice I was looking directly at her, she was completely zoning out. I couldn't help but notice every little feature of hers. She was so beautiful, even after the amount of things we had been through. I probably looked a mess, but (Y/n) was...perfect. I really wanted to tell her those kind of things, she doesn't realise how great she is, but now just was not the time.

She was smiling as she was staring, I wondered what she was thinking about. I had thought of a plan so I didn't want to wait here any longer. She looked happy, just daydreaming but I had to reluctantly snap her out of it.

"(Y/n)? Hello? Why are you staring at me?" I said, trying to make it seem like I had just then noticed her staring at me.

"Oh sorry, I was just....uh thinking." She said smiling sheepishly.

Woah that smile... I felt butterflies in my stomach. She blushed really hard, it was cute. I really wondered what she was thinking about then. 

~(Y/n)'s P.O.V.~
"So any plan?" I asked, changing the subject quickly.

"I'm guessing you didn't come up with anything then?" Jim smirked.

"I mean psh...of course I did...I just wanna hear yours first." I very clearly lied.

"Mm sure...Ok so we sneak back to the Legacy, disable the laser cannons, and bring back the map." He whispered to B.E.N. and I.

Before B.E.N. had the chance to yell anything, Jim held his mouth closed.

"That's a good plan" B.E.N. said in a muffled voice.

"I'm not gonna lie, it doesn't sound too amazing." I said, truthfully.

"Well what's your plan then?" Jim asked raising an eyebrow.

"Well uhm...uh...it doesn't matter! Let's just go!" I whisper shouted.

"That's what I thought" Jim laughed quietly. I just rolled my eyes at him.

"One thing, How are we supposed to get there?" B.E.N. whispered to Jim.

"On that." Jim said pointing up at the longboat, the pirates had obviously taken here.

"Ok maybe it's not so bad. We still have to get past the pirates without waking them." I said.

"True, shouldn't be too hard. Let's go." Jim replied.

We very quietly, walked around the the area that the pirates were sleeping in. Jim had hopped up into the longboat along with B.E.N. and I was almost there. Of course, me being myself, I tripped....over nothing...my own feet. I felt onto the ground,

"Sorry" I only mouthed the words looking up at Jim.

He looked at me, worried but also a little annoyed then out at the pirates.

I turned to see if I had woken anyone. Silver stirred slightly in his sleep and turned onto his side but he didn't wake up. No one else woke up either which was surprising and lucky.

I finally got onto the boat, with a little help of course. Jim started up the engine of the longboat. It was lucky that silver had taught him how to steer one of these things before, otherwise we would've been screwed. The engine made a really loud sound when it started.

I turned my head to see if the pirates woke up, so quickly that I could've gotten whiplash. Not a single one even flinched.

"I guess we didn't have to be so quiet in the first place. They're all sleeping like logs." I said.

"Yeah I guess so." Jim laughed slightly.

"You know, I had a friend once. He slept like a log..." B.E.N. rambled all the way up to the Legacy.

We finally made it to the ship and jumped up onto it. It felt weird to be back on it, now that it had been taken by pirates.
