Dear Harry,

I called your mum today. She said she doesn't know where you've gone. And she began to cry, an awful, hysterical sob. At first I was dumbfounded, but then she told me what she feared: "What if he's killed himself, Valerie? He hasn't been himself lately." It took several moments, but I calmed her down. I know you wouldn't do such a thing, Harry. Would you?

Niall came over, looking for you. A lump grew in my throat and I though I'd be sick all over him. So I told him about our situation. He just shook it off. "Probably getting his head straight, that's all," he told me. I reluctantly agreed, but I know you better than he does. He said he'd be sure to tell your dearest friends about your whereabouts.

When Niall had gone, I curled up on the couch to comfort myself. The sun had set and dreaded darkness filled the house. I didn't move from that couch. I couldn't find a good enough reason to get up.
