Tina

7 Years passed after that accident. I still blame myself everyday for what happened.

I loved him! Why did I cheat on him!
I’m so STUPID!!!
He would've still been here if I never cheated on him!!!

Today was valentine’s day. I had a bouquet of flowers and I placed them down next to his grave stone.
Every year, I spent valentine’s day sitting on the grass staring at his grave until dawn.
My best friend doesn’t talk to me. I understand why, it was my fault he’s dead.
Goldy and Unicorn mann still hang out with me. They forgave me, but it was hard for them to trust me again.

“What are you doing here!!”
I turned around to see who was yelling.

Cookie stood there looking at me with a furious expression.

“Cookie! I’m so sorry! I didn-”
She cut me off with a slap on my face.

I put my hand on the place where she slapped me.

“Don’t you dare apologize after 7 years! And don’t call me Cookie, only my friends call me that.”

Tears rolled down my face. I fell to the ground and started to sob.

I deserve this! Stop crying! It’s all your fault!

“Answer me. What. Are. You. Doing. Here.”
I didn’t answer. I just stayed there in silence.

“Answer me!!!!”

“I still loved him. I made a stupid mistake, and I can never forgive myself for it.”

“Yeah it was stupid! He really cared for you and what did you do?! You played him!”

“I’m sorry.”

She didn’t say anything, but she walked up to me and sat next to me while staring at the grave stone.

“How long have you been visiting him?”
Collims (Is that how you spell it?) asked without taking her eyes off the grave.

“Almost everyday.”

She nodded, and we stayed silent for a long time.

The sun was setting, so I grabbed my bag so I could go home. I saw Collins doing the same thing, so I extended my hand to help her up.
She took it, and brushed off the grass from her jeans.
We lived pretty close to each other, so we walked together.
I made it home first, so I turned towards Collins to say goodbye.

“Bye Collins.”

I turned back around to head inside, but I felt her grab my arm.

“I’m… I’m sorry for hitting you.”

“You have nothing to apologize for. I did deserve it.”

“Still. That was no reason to hit you.”

I smiled at her.

“Anyway, I never really liked the name Collins, Cookie is a lot better.”
Now, she smiled at me.

“Meet you at the cafe tomorrow?”
I said, hoping she'll agree.

“Sure. Here’s my number.”

She wrote down her number on a piece of paper and gave it to me.

“Okay. Bye Cookie.”

“Bye Tina.”

I went to my room, and quickly put Cookie’s number in my contact.
It’s still hard to accept the fact that Ryan’s death was because of a stupid mistake I made, but now I can feel a bit more relax to know that Cookie forgave me.
