Growing up on the sea hadn't been easy, but it's all Deema had known. Her father had been a pirate with a name, no one daring to cross him unless necessary. Deema loved her life, and loved the sea. In fact, she loved it as if it was her unknown mother, treasured it as if it were her only friend.

Of course, pretty songs don't last, and the reign of Jordei got cut short when two boats worked together to destroy his ship. Everyone died, and Deema should have been very dead, too, but washed up on the shore, in better health than ever before.

It was clear something unnatural had happened to her, she owed her life to the sea and would not spend her life away from it. She had large shoes to fill, but Deema soon became a captain songs were written about, too.
