Story 7: Save Her

TAEHYUNG POV

(TEXT)

Taehyung: Hey have you seen Jennie, she hasn't talked to me in a week

Lisa: I don't know, she hasn't spoken to me either

(TAEHYUNG TO ROSÉ)

Taehyung: Hey Jungkook, do you know where Jennie is

Rosé: Sorry man, but I will keep in touch if I do

(TAEHYUNG TO SUGA)

Taehyung: Hey Suga, do you know where your sister is

Suga: I don't know, she disappeared a week ago

Taehyung: WAIT WHAT!!!!!

Suga: Yeah, one day she just left the house without any reason

Taehyung: And you didn't tell me

Suga: Well I thought she would be with you or at least tell you where you went. My sister doesn't tell me shit.

Taehyung: Dude, I'm her boyfriend. Of course, I need to know where she is

I then put my phone down and sighed in stress. It's been a week since I last saw her. I'm starting to get really worried about where she is right now. Anyway, I go upstairs to the bedroom and lay on Jennie's side of the bed. I grabbed the portrait of me and her on our first date, it seemed so only yesterday that we just got together. As I was holding it the picture fell out the frame.

"Oh shoot"

I picked up the photo and just as I was about to put in back into the frame, I noticed that a note was there. I took out the note in the frame and opened it up. It was in Jennie's handwriting.

DEAR TAEHYUNG,

I'm truly sorry about what I'm about to do. These past few months have been really hard for me. I have to wake up early just to go to work only to get yelled at by my boss every day. And life isn't much better at home as well. I'm basically invisible to my parents, they don't even care if I get hurt. It would probably be better if I just left them to be. I writing this to you Taehyung because I don't think I can continue. I do want to say this before I say goodbye, Taehyung, you will always be in my heart, and I will love you forever.

FROM, THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE, JENNIE

I put the letter down and cried knowing what she meant when she wrote goodbye. I just sat there feeling guilty. I feel like this was my fault. Why didn't I catch this coming? I was losing hope when suddenly my phone rang. 

(PHONE CALL)

Taehyung: Hello

Jisoo: Taehyung, oh thank god you answered

Taehyung: What do you want Jisoo, I'm kind of not in the mood right now

Jisoo: It's Jennie, she is about to fall off a cliff

Taehyung: What, where are you 

Jisoo: I'm at *********************

Taehyung: Okay, can you stall her

Jisoo: I'm trying to, you better hurry 

I ran out of my house and into my car. I turned the engine on and stepped on the gas pedal. I didn't even care if I was speeding in traffic. I didn't even care if it was raining outside. I wanted to see her. I finally got to the location and there I see Jisoo talking to Jennie. I hurriedly run up the hill where they were to try to stop her from jumping. 

JENNIE POV

"Jennie, don't do this," Jisoo said.

I looked down onto the ground one more time before making my final decision. 

"I'm sorry," I said and jumped off. 

I expected to fall but then suddenly, a hand grabbed me. I look up and see Taehyung holding on to me. He picks me back up and pulls me into his arms. 

"I'm so sorry Taehyung," I said crying in his shirt.

"It's okay now, your safe with me," he said.

We then stood up and I pecked him on the lips.

"But where did you know where to find me," I asked.

"Oh easy, Jisoo told me the location," he replied.

Suddenly, my brother and the rest of our friends came up.

"Jennie, oh thank god your okay," Suga said hugging me. "You got me worried sick, mom and dad are worried."

"They were worried for me," I asked in a surprised tone. 

"Well not just them, but us too," Lisa said.

I then proceeded to cry again with tears falling out my eye.

"Guys, I'm really sorry for what I was about to do. I didn't realize that people cared about me."

"Jennie, it's okay. But please, if you think life is hard. Don't think suicide is the answer. Come to us first and we will help you," Jimin said.

I stopped crying and we all came together for a group hug. After that, we made our way down to the mountain and made our way back home. I then finally made it back to my own house where I was greeted to my mom and dad running up to me and giving me a big hug.

"Jennie, your okay," my mom said in tears.

"We were so worried for you," my dad said.

"It's okay guys, your daughter is okay," I replied.

I then went to my room and laid there for what could've been an eternity as I rest my eyes and drifted to sleep.
