Confusing feelings - yamaguchi x tsukishima

-5-At the park

Yamaguchi's POV

The walk to the park was nice. It wasn't too hot with the cool breeze blowing by. The flowers were starting to bloom there bright colors and little birds flew all around off looking for food.

The first thing I noticed when we got there was how empty it was for such a beautiful day. The park usually filled with yelling children was silent.

The field commonly full of happy couples picnicking was deserted. The walking paths were clear and benches open.

"Let's practice over there."tsukki suggested pointing to a open spot a large tree and a bench.

"After Yeah sure Tsukki!"I answer following behind him.

We put out stuff down by the bench and went out to the field with the ball.

"Can I serve and you revive?" I asked. He nods and tosses me the ball. I toss it up and run. I jump and hit it.

WACK

That nice soothing sound assuring you hit it. Tsukki receives it and sends it back over. I run to get it and hit it back over the imaginary net.

After hours of this I was getting tired.

"Can we take a break?"I asked trying to look as tired as possible to sell it.

"Ok but we should go soon."he answers walking over to the bench and taking a seat. I sit down next to him and get out our water bottles handing him one.

He takes it and our fingers brush sending tingles up my spine. I blush and look at the ground taking a sip of water.

I look up and I'm mesmerized by the view. I didn't even notice that the sun was starting to set but here before me was a beautiful landscape of scarlets and pinks. It was like a water color painting that I couldn't look away from.

I glance over at tsukki beside me and he has the same emotionless expression looking out beyond the field.

I should tell him how I feel

I gulp. It's now or never and the view is perfect.

"Hay tsukki I have something to tell you." I know he can tell that I'm nervous but he only turns to look at me and gives me an acknowledging nod saying to go on.

"I l-l...li"

RING RING RING

My eyes widen in surprise. Tsukki reaches and takes his phone out of his pocket.

"Hello?"

"Ok yeah."

"I know."

"Uh hu."

"Ok bye."

He hangs up and looks back over to me.

"Sorry, looks like I have to get home." I feel a little disappointed that I was interrupted but I also feel a wave of relief.

"No it's fine. I should get home too." I answer starting to put my water away and pack up.

"What was it you were saying before?" He asks.

"Oh...n-nothing."I respond getting up off the bench.

"Ok."I can tell he knows that there was something important I wanted to get off my chest but lucky for me he dosent push.

We walk back to his house so I can get my things I left there.

"We should do this more often."I say.

"Yeah oh and are you sure it was nothing, what you were going to say."he asks.

"What! Oh yeah um it was uh...nothing." I turn around ready to leave and get out of this conversation. I hear Tsukki sigh but I don't turn around. I keep walking. All the way home and up to my room. I never ate but I wasn't hungry. I couldn't fall asleep still Thinking about how it would of played out if I had just told him.

I eventually fall asleep but not before hours of thinking.

Ok. Bam. Pow. I actually did it. This is going to sound sad but I didn't think I would make it to five chapters. Welp there you go. Chapter five.
