y/n threw her backpack to the backseats of the van before she actually entered the van. this was stupid, she thought the group should just accept the fact that teddy is dead. searching for her endlessly would not bring her back to them.
a sigh left her lips as she leaned into her seat. julius wanted to do another search for her at the seven-eleven. she thought it was highly unlikely that she was actually there and alive, but she guessed that julius and everyone else wanted closure.
she just wished she had some closure about oliver's death. she just wants to see him one last time and tell him how much he means to her. stop, i can't think like this. he wouldn't want me to think like this.
"do you think you'll actually find her?" asked russo, his blue eyes looked around at all of us in the van. he was probably thinking there was no hope as well, at least y/n isn't alone.
"i would like to think so," chosen spoke up. "she might've been a pain here and there, but she did welcome me and became my friend." he explained, his eyes not leaving the road as he continued to follow the car in front of them. "plus, why else would we go through all of this effort?"
"well, in my shoes," y/'n called out, earning the gaze of russo and ivan to be laid on her. (jaeden was already staring at her) "no, i don't think so. we need to face facts, we left her to die back at erickson, she had to be surrounded by the hoard of walkers. there's no way she made it out."
"why do you have to be so pessimistic?" chosen questioned, causing the girl to scoff at his ridiculous question.
"if being realistic is considered pessimistic, then probably ever since i was born. chosen, how about you get your head out of your ass and face the hard truth," she remarked, crossing her arms over her chest. her e/c eyes caught a glimpse of his. the anger inside him was growing, jaeden was surprised at how angry he appeared to be. he was always so calm in tense situations.
"are you acting this way because you didn't like her?" he bluntly asked, making the girl equally as furious. "disliked her over some petty drama."
confused, that's also what she felt. why would teddy mention their falling out to someone she just met? even if she didn't like the girl after their incident, she wouldn't have talked about it. hell, she hasn't even talked to jaeden about it. "you have no idea what you're talking about so just be quiet. what happened to teddy and i is none of your business."
"it became my business when teddy asked how she can make amends with you, and then proceeds to tell me you'll never forgive her. maybe you need to face the hard truth, that you're just inconsiderately heartless. the world doesn't revolve around you, y/n." he exclaimed leaving her speechless. her loudmouth quickly shut as she stared blankly in front of her. though, despite such a cold statement leaving his mouth, quilt pierced through his heart.
he was acting very out of character, but he just couldn't bottle up how he felt about the girl anymore. of course, she helped them when they needed medical care the most, and that her and jaeden have a thing. but after what teddy told him, he just can't see her in a positive light anymore. his brown eyes sadly glanced at y/n through the mirror but immediately gazed back at the road.
she had no comeback, she had no more insults, she was just completely taken back because she knew it was true. she never forgave teddy for what she did, because she was heartless. it's the unforgiving side of her, she trusted teddy and after that, she just felt like nothing could be done to improve their relationship. so she ignored her, insulted her just so she can show teddy that she's done with her. she didn't know the girl felt otherwise, and now, it's probably too late to apologize.
