The next morning Madison and Kris woke up feeling a gentle breeze on their faces.
"God I love waking up in paradise." Madison says.
"I know baby. Enjoy it while it lasts." Kris says.
"I am going to." Madison says.
"Good. I promise once the playoffs are over and we have a little bit of a break before the new season starts we will go somewhere warm and with white beaches and the ocean." Kris says kissing her head.
"Okay baby." Madison replies.
They get up and get dressed. They then head out to the main room. Everyone meets there.
"So we were thinking since we did so much yesterday we will stay here and have a beach day." Sid says.
"That will be nice. We can just relax and soak up the sun and the sea." Nadia says.
"Yeah we can have a picnic on the beach for lunch and then grill out on the beach for dinner." Kris says.
"That sounds good to me." Madison replies.
"I agree that sounds like a good idea." Justin says.
"Nice and relaxing. We have have three more days here before we have to head back." Autumn says.
"True we do." Jake says.
"I don't want to think about it." Taylor says.
"Me either." Anna says.
"Yeah I don't want it to end." Meredith says.
"Sorry girls but it will then its back to reality and hockey." Tristan says.
"Yes he right." Geno says.
The girls all groan. Ruth and the kids were still sleeping. They decided to cook a big breakfast. They set out making it. They finish and have it out on the table. The girls then go and wake up the kids getting them up. Ruth wakes up as well. They all sit down and eat. When they finished they clean up. The girls get the kids ready in their bathing suits. Madison and Kris then head to get changed into their bathing suits. They all meet back in the main room. Ruth had packed them a huge picnic basket full of lots of goodies. They boys go out and set up the tent and other fun things. They had volleyball, paddle boards and boggie/surf boards. They set up a tent with blankets under it for the kids. They also set up chairs and a umbrella so that the girls could sunbathe if they wanted to. Once everything was ready they all head out. They even took the dogs out with them.
"Can we build a sand castle?" Olivia asks.
"Yes make it huge." Micah says.
"Can we please." Noelle says.
"Yes please, please, please." Nikita says.
The kid all chime in please.
"Of course guys. Come on lets start on it." The guys say.
"Have fun." The girls reply.
They go take their seats in their chairs where they can sunbathe and watch the guys bond with the kids.
"So are you ready for the next few months?" Taylor asks.
"No I am not. I am scared with all these positive tests. Its up to 40 now and half have come from Toronto so what does NHL do makes it one of the hubs." Madison says.
"I know that was kinda dumb. But I am happy that Mario made it so we could all go and we could take the kids with us." Nadia says.
"Me too. Specially since I am pregnant, pregnant with these twins. I want him to be able be there." Meredith says.
"I know. Looks like we will have to pack for a few months." Anna says.
"Yeah cus we leave on the 26th and lord knows when we will come back." Autumn says.
The girls chat a little more. They boys had taken the kids out into the water. The girls get up and go out and join them. They swim and splash and just have fun until the kids started to get tired. They come in and dry off. The girls lay them down in the tent with the dogs for their naps.
"When they wake up we will have lunch and then do whatever." Madison says.
"Sounds good." Kris says.
"We will eat dinner later on." Sid says.
"Yes grilling out will be perfect." Nadia says.
"Yes it will." Justin says.
"Maybe we can build a fire and have smores for desert." Autumn replies.
"Oh that is a great idea." Jake says.
"Yes it is." Taylor says.
"I like that." Tristan says.
"Me too." Meredith replies.
"Sound good to me." Geno says.
"Me too." Anna says.
While the kids were napping they all take turns going out on the paddle board. They then play a game of volleyball. Finally the kids woke up. They all sat down and ate their lunch. When they finished they packed it back up. They then head into the water again. They had an obstacle course and trampoline. They kids had a blast. They also swam and splashed some more. It was starting to get late so they headed back in. The kids were drying off in the tent while the guys went up and got the food to grill. They were having burgers and hot dogs. Ruth had made Macaroni and Cheese, chili and some mixed veggies the guys were going to grill with the burgers and dogs.
A little bit later it was all done and they sit down and eat together. The kids were chatty cathy's talking about everything and anything. They enjoyed listening to them banter back and forth. They finished eating and the girls cleaned up. They got the stuff to make smores. The guys lit a fire. They had fun making smores and eating them. Finally it was time for the kids to go to bed. The girls go and bathe them and then change them into their jamies. They lay them down in their fort with a movie. It didn't take long for them to be out. The guys were still sitting out around the fire. The girls take out wine for them and beer for the guys. They go and join them.
"Soaking up every second of this." Sid says.
"Yes fires and beer with the boys and with our woman by our sides." Kris says.
"I know. As much as I want to play again, I am going to miss nights like these." Justin says.
"Well he still have a few left. Even when we get home. Don't have to leave until the 26th." Jake says.
"He has point." Geno says.
"Yes he does. Did anyone bring poker?" Tristan asks.
Geno did and he sets it up. They play a few rounds laughing and howling and just having a good time. Finally they called it a night. Madison and Kris head to check on the kids. They were still out. Madison and Kris head to their room. They shower and change and lay down in bed.
"Get some rest. We are going to have some fun exploring tomorrow." Kris says.
"Okay baby." Madison says.
"Goodnight, I love you." Kris says kissing her.
"Goodnight, I love you too." Madison says kissing back.
That was all it took. They end up making love a few times before falling asleep snuggled together.
