The gang enjoyed two more days at the lodge and saw many more polar bears and the Northern Lights as well. They then headed back to Cole Harbour where they celebrated Jake's birthday and had fun just doing nothing but decorating and getting ready for the upcoming holidays.
It was the Canadian Thanksgiving.
Madison and Kris both woke up when the alarm went off.
"Good morning baby, Happy Canadian Thanksgiving my love." Madison says kissing him.
"Thank you my love, good morning and I'm thankful for you and our family and friends." Kris says.
"I love you." Madison says.
"I love you too." Kris says.
They both get up and get dressed they had a busy day to get ready for. They head out of their room. Sid was just coming out of his.
"Happy Canadian Thanksgiving babe." Kris says.
"Happy Canadian Thanksgiving babe."Sid replies.
They share a kiss and then head downstairs. Madison heads into the kitchen Nadia was already in there.
"How long have you been awake?" Madison asks.
"A little bit but it's okay." Nadia says.
"Why didn't you wake me?" Madison asks.
"Cus I wanted you to get some sleep. It's fine." Nadia says.
That was when Autumn, Taylor and Meredith walk into the kitchen. They finished breakfast and then sat down as a family to eat. When they finished the boys headed into the game room with the kids to watch movies while the girls cooked. Nadia and Madison got the turkey prepared and into the oven they then made the mashed potatoes, stuffing and gravy . Taylor and Autumn got the pork into the crockpot with the sauerkraut and they made peas and carrots and green bean casserole. Meredith and Anna made a few different pies, candid sweet potatoes and some appetizers as well. The food was cooking and it smelled heavenly.
"I can't wait to eat and spend time with you guys." Taylor says.
"I know we get to do this next month too." Autumn says.
"I know so thankful they resigned Justin and you guys are staying in Pittsburgh for a few more years." Madison says.
"Oh my god yes I am glad they kept Justin and Tristan too. I was scared we would have to move and I wasn't ready for it." Meredith says.
"Well no one has to move now. We are all together and they got rid of Jack Johnson." Anna says pouring them each a glass of wine.
"Hell yeah I will drink to that!" Nadia says.
They all nod their heads and clink glasses. They then head into the game room to spend some time with the kids and their hubbies before dinner was served.
"The food smells so good ladies I cannot wait to eat." Sid says.
"Yes it does. My mouth is watering." Kris replies.
"Yes mine too. " Jake says.
"We eat like Kings. Love Thanksgiving." Geno says.
"I think we all do." Justin says.
"Yeah and because we are all married to Americans minus Geno we get to celebrate it two times a year." Tristan says.
The girls laugh at them. But it was true. The kids decided they wanted to play some family feud on the wii so they did. It was really fun. They were all laughing and carrying on and just having fun. They then play the weakest link and who wants to be a millionaire. The kids were holding their own against the adults surprisingly. Finally the alarms go off.
"Well dinner is just about ready." Autumn says.
"Yes so kids go and get washed up okay." Taylor says.
The kids all scatter off to do just that. The guys help set the table and the girls finish up preparing the food and sat it all on the table. Everyone sat down and joined hands.
"We gather together to ask the Lord's blessing
He chastens and hastens his will to make known
The wicked oppressing now cease from distressing
Sing praises to his name, he forgets not his own." They all sing together.
Everyone then went around the table and shared one or two things they were thankful for. They then said the blessing.
"Let's eat." Kris says.
"It looks so good." Justin says.
"Yes it does." Jake replies.
"Let eat I hungry." Geno says.
"Dig in guys." Sid says.
"Don't have to tell me twice." Tristan says.
They all fill their plates with food and sit around enjoying it and the company. They laughed, cried and just made memories with their family and friends. They had seconds and some even had thirds. The girls then cleaned up putting the leftovers away. They then served desert. They had pumpkin pie, apple pie, pecan pie and lemon meringue pie.
"Thank you for making this wonderful meal." Micah says.
"Yes it was good." Olivia says.
"We are glad you kids enjoyed it." Nadia says.
"Yes we are." Madison says.
"Now why don't you kids go and get changed into your pj's and we will watch a movie or two with you before bed." Taylor says.
"Yes we will, a perfect end to this Canadian Thanksgiving day." Autumn says.
"Yes it will be." Anna replies.
"Yes the twins first Canadian Thanksgiving." Meredith says.
The kids head to change. The guys clean up desert and wash dishes and the girls go and get comfortable in the game room. The kids come back and settle into their fort. The guys join them with a few big bowls is popcorn. They watch Hocus Pocus, The Nightmare Before Christmas and then finally Casper. Once the movies were over the kids go down pretty easy. The gang then heads out onto the back patio overlooking the water. Nadia puts down the screens and Sid lights a fire. They then all sit down around it.
"Such a beautiful night for a fire." Taylor says.
"Yes it is and the best way to end the night." Autumn says.
"Yes it is. I am glad we could be together." Justin says.
"Me too."Jake says.
"It's nice being with family and friends during the holidays." Meredith says.
"Yes it is and none split up." Anna says.
"Yeah I am glad about that." Tristan says.
"Yes think all glad." Geno says.
"Yes it's great none of us got split up." Madison says.
"Yeah that would have been so sad." Nadia says.
"It would have been for sure." Kris says.
"I wouldn't let it happen." Sid says.
They sit around chatting and laughing. The guys go and make them hot chocolate and they sip it. They then play a few rounds of poker and cards for humanity before deciding to call it a night. Madison and Kris head to check on the kids first. They were all out cold. They then head up to their room. They get ready for bed and then Kris lights the fire. They then snuggle together.
"Get some sleep baby." Kris says.
"You too baby." Madison says.
"Goodnight baby, I love you." Kris says kissing her.
"Goodnight baby, I love you too." Madison says returning the kiss.
They end up making love a few times before falling into a much needed sleep.
