mark nonchalantly drove to school.

renjun wasn't here to cheer him up as usual, so he just listened to whatever song the radio was playing, waiting for the streetlight to turn green.

he arrived to the parking in a matter of minutes, and locked his car before heading inside the school, his mind clouded by thoughts about his classes of the day.

"hello buddy!" mark received a slap on the back.

he turned around to find two boys hand in hand. "hello jaemin. hello jeno."

"you're not with renjun?" jaemin looked around.

"he went to china for a month. his grandmother is sick." mark explained.

"oh, is it bad?"

mark shrugged.

"so, we won't see him for a whole month?" jeno pouted.

"one date and you're already this attached to him?" mark mumbled.

jeno and jaemin blushed. "it wasn't a date..."

"sure." mark giggled.

"anyway." jeno started again. "tonight, there's the baseball tournament we wanted to watch on tv."

"really?" mark asked, all excited.

"yes!" jaemin bounced on his feet. "so, we're having a night. i wanted to invite renjun as well, but if he's not here..."

"where do we go?" mark asked.

"definitely not to mine." jeno replied, making mark confused.

"yeah, we kind of broke the tv while playing wii sports last time..." jaemin explained. "and well, at my house, there will be my whole family so we won't be fully in the mood, but if it's okay for you..."

"we could go at mine." mark said.

"you're sure? renjun wouldn't mind?" jeno asked.

"nah." mark smirked, completely forgetting about a certain cat person that he had left inside his house this morning.

"cool. do you have snacks?"

"yeah, i when grocery shopping yesterday." mark said proudly.

"perfect, then let's meet at the parking after school."

and with that said, the three boys headed to their respective classes, excited about the night that they would spend together after this boring school day.

mark walked out of his classroom as soon as the bell signalling the beginning of lunch break rang. however, he didn't run to the canteen like the horde of teenagers of his class just did. instead, he just walked to the library. he wasn't sure why he did that. he felt like he needed to look for something there, but what? he had no idea...

maybe going there would enlighten him?

mark opened the door of the place cautiously, greeting silently the librarian before engulfing himself in one of the various alleys: 'history'. that was definitely not for something like that he came here. still, mark looked at the different books that were displayed.
