The Senior camping trip was a tradition at Liberty High and was something that no one wanted to miss out on because it was a weekend of making memories with your friends before you all went off to different colleges. However, there were several tales that would ruin the camping trip for some of the students, the tale of Burnham Woods; where a boy was thought to have died and his friends left him behind, when in reality he hadn't and came back to get his revenge. Every year, the students of Liberty High would take this tale seriously and use it to frighten a random member of their class and this year, it was obvious who they were going to take advantage of.
Some of the students were excited about this tradition as it was another milestone that would bring them to the end of their years of High School but the others had more on their mind. The group of friends that all shared one looming secret had other things on their mind as they arrived at the camping ground; an email had been sent from Clay's account and it read that if none of them came forward then the truth would be revealed before the weekend was over.
When asked, Clay had no recollection of the email and pleaded that everyone believed him; some of his friends instantly believed him but the others had some bad feeling about the whole thing. First someone spray painted the admin doors and now they were sending threatening emails, something wasn't right and they didn't really know what to do with this new information. They had all wanted to enjoy this tradition as another milestone of High School passed them by but now it seemed that they could never catch a break and once again they would miss out on something that their classmates took for granted.
"Do you really think that Tyler had something to do with this?" Lily whispered as she walked through the camping ground with Tony.
"I don't know, but he's been acting weird lately and I don't have a good feeling about it."
The friends walked through the camping ground together, both a little bit nervous about what this weekend would entail because it sounded as if things could never go normally for them. They had been nominated to get firewood for their section of the woods where their friends were setting up tents. Making sure that their section was as far away from the jocks as possible because they didn't want anything to set Clay off, after the drama at the Valentine's Dance. Tony had agreed to share a tent with Clay and Tyler, and due to Ani not being around, Lily was sharing with Jess. But she had joined Tony to find Tyler to collect firewood because Jess had disappeared as soon as they arrived.
Even though the two girls were friends, despite everything the world had thrown at them, they still disagreed about some things. Before arriving, they had agreed to help with the tent and the firewood before being distracted by the camping but Jess had broken her promise and had ditched her friend as soon as they had arrived. She had probably gone to find Diego, who she was currently obsessed with and it seemed to be a motive of making Justin jealous.
"Tyler, do you want to help us get some firewood?" Lily asked, calling their friend who was engrossed in his camera before turning to whisper to Tony. "Just be careful, he's fragile and I don't want to accuse him of anything."
