Chapter 7: Rebuilding Bonds

----( Summer's POV )----

It's been 2 weeks since I've last saw my son and things have changed since then, everyone was no longer depressed about Raiden's death but rather upset that he would no longer forgive us except Ruby which I could understand, we physically harmed him but Ruby was the only one who'd never lay a finger on him and that's why we've told the girls to convince him to come home for a little while, just to catch up on where we left off

Raven: Is there something on your mind Summer?

Summer:*sighs* Well.... it's just..... I don't.... I don't understand what Raiden did wrong for us to abuse him for 4 years. Looking back at it he never did anything that would make us hate him, was it really stress that brought us to hate him? Or was it...... something else?

Raven: I know where you're getting at Summer and I also wonder what made us hate him in the first place since he'd never done anything wrong

Summer: You think Qrow and Tai felt the same?

Raven: I believe so

Summer: You wanna ask them?

Raven: Well maybe when Raiden gets here then we'll ask them about it

----( Y/N's POV )----

Y/N: Ruby....

Ruby: Hm? What is it?

Y/N: Why does the bullhead say that it's heading to Patch?

Ruby: That's because it IS heading to Patch

Yang: We're bringing you back home

I began remembering the events that had happened six years ago, I felt so enraged that I accidentally started choking Yang

Yang: Y/N! Can't.... breathe.....

I came back to my senses and let go of Yang as she started breathing heavily slightly looking scared

Ruby: Yang! Are you okay?

Yang:*cough* I'm.... fine Ruby.... you don't have to *cough* worry about me

Ruby: Y/N! Why did you do that!?

Y/N: Sorry I had uhh.... flashbacks.... about "home"

Ruby: Do you.... hate going back home?

Y/N: No I just..... I don't think I would feel calling it "home" but rather..... something else

Ruby: Oh.... o-okay

Y/N: Is Zwei still there?

Abaddon: (Zwei?)

Y/N: (Our pet corgi)

Ruby: Yeah.... he's still there, being cute as always

Y/N: Good to know

There was an awkward moment of silence between the three of us, but I began to wonder what will they do to me when we arrive on Patch, I could only think of bad things because of what they did to me in the past, I need to think of a way to counter their attack just in case, I mean.... it's not a problem if I could prepare for the worst

Y/N: (Hey Abaddon, if anything bad happens to me, you leave my body and tear them apart)

Abaddon: (Gladly)

About a few hours later the bullhead lands at Patch then we took a cab heading back "home" the only problem I had here in the cab is the fact I'm sitting between them

Y/N: Does the house still looks the same?

Yang was about to say something to me but then she stopped and looked away, she probably doesn't want to get yelled at again
