Interview with nadi_binitie:

1. Can you briefly introduce your story and tell us why you think it won first place? Why do you want readers to consider reading it?

So my story is a contemporary realistic one, and I really tried to address a lot of problems people go through (both the characters and the side characters). I think it won first place because it's relatable to a bunch of people in different ways. I'd love for more people to read it because it doesn't romanticize problems and focuses on solving them instead. There's also a bunch of drama and humor to keep things hyped.

2. What elements do you think make a good story?

Realism for one, I really dislike stories that I can't relate to an extent. Some sort of humor, things can't be drab and bad all the time.

3. How do you select the names of your characters?

I try to select names that mean something. Where I'm from, names mean a lot and describe a person, so I wanted to integrate that into the story. Eg. Pat (Patricia) means Noble which I think describes her and who she is to Annelise.

4. What inspired you to start writing?

I have too many stories in my head and sometimes I need them to be penned down. But this one was inspired by God. It might sound ridiculous to some but He really helped me streamline my thoughts.

5. What drew you to Wattpad? Do you have any favourite Wattpad story?

I was looking for a reading app in 2015 and Google showed me this one. I would say Rosehead is my favorite, along with Storm and Silence.

6. How do you come up with the titles to your books?

I actually didn't come up with this one. I was running the plot by my younger sister and asking her for suggestions, and she came up with A Dance of Life. Once I heard it, I knew it was the one.

7. How many books have you written? Which is your favourite?

I've completed about 2 books, but I've started a bunch. My thoughts and ideas just keep flowing.

8. What is the hardest thing about writing?Focusing on my thoughts and not writing too much. Trying to keep people engaged in the story, giving the people what they want while also being true to myself and the story.

9. What do you think are your strengths and weaknesses as a writer?

My strengths I would say is my vivid imagination and the fact that I put myself in each character's shoes. My weakness would be my vocabulary and laziness, sometimes I just don't feel like writing.

10. Do you have any other passion or talent besides writing?

I love singing and dancing, basically all the arts. I'm also passionate about helping people and my Christianity.

 Fun questions section:

11. If someone made a movie of your life would it be a drama, a comedy, a romantic-comedy, action film, or science fiction?

OMG, it would totally be a drama. My life has been so up and down.

12. If you had 3 wishes from a genie, what would they be?

Wisdom, patience and high metabolism.

13. Mention one goal in your bucket list.

To go skydiving!
