All their way to his house, there was silence. Awkward silence. Both were thinking what to say to other. When they reached home, Heechul helped him open the door as both of his hands were supporting his sleeping daughter. As they went inside, he again looked at him in despair and asked him if he could hold Heemi for a few minutes while he prepares the bed inside. He did as asked but was very curious about the bedding so tiptoed to the bedroom. What he saw shocked him. His love spread out two mattresses on the floor, put a cover on them and a pillow. He also took out two blankets, one of which he kept there and took hold of another with a pillow to give it to Hee Chul. As he turned around, he saw him standing there astonished.
He didn't know what to do so he put the pillow and blanket down again, took Heemi from him and gently placed her on the mattress with a pillow under her head and a blanket over her body. All this while, he prepared himself for the worst things to come like Hee Chul being angry at him, hitting him and what not while the other was just gazing at him and his actions lovingly. After being done, he got up with the pillow and blanket that he was going to offer to Heechul.
He closed his eyes, took a deep breathe before he turned and said " it might not be comfortable enough but you will have to sleep on sofa. As you see, we don't have much space in here." He could only nod before following Jung Soo to the living room. That's when he observed his whole house. It was neat and clean and white, just as Jung Soo liked. That thought made him chuckle. That's when the owner turned around with a questionable cum embarrassed look. Hee Chul felt like explaining and so, he did " your house is still the same way as you liked. It's neat, clean and white. Everything is at its place. Its so you Jung Soo-ah. You haven't changed a bit with regards to house keeping." This compliment brought a smile on his face as well.
They reached the sofa and as soon as he was going to leave, Hee Chul held his wrist and said "it has been long Jung Soo-ah. Your daughter just let your secret out that you still love me. Won't you hold your lover who had been waiting for your warmth for past 10 years?" He broke down as soon as he finished his sentence. This was the only thing Jung Soo couldn't resist and ended up hugging him, providing him the warmth he needed.
After a while, as he stopped sobbing, they separated. Jung Soo still didn't know what to say but Hee Chul knew so before there could be silence again, he asked " I saw one more room here, why can't I stay there?" He expected everything but this. He has never ever let someone enter that room as it held the biggest secrets of his life. He stayed silent for a few minutes contemplating on the formation of the answer and then replied, " You can't go in there, it's dusty and not very good for you to stay." He thought he could persuade him with this answer but he was wrong.
Hee Chul smiled and said " it is okay if you don't want me to see your secrets but don't forget I can still see inside you and you still, clearly, haven't learned how to lie." He could only be shocked after this. He was still insecure about how he would answer him when he will be confronted but he also wanted to be asked but before he could say anything, Hee Chul again asked " so, what did you do for living considering you made contacts with no one in the industry, changed your numbers and even bank account.
He thought a bit about if he should say the truth or not but then he eyes wandered around his house and he concluded that even if he lies, his house will tell the truth, so he chose to say what was true and that is " well, you see, I don't earn much but it is enough for me, I mean us to live happily." "That doesn't answer my question. " Said an angry Hee Chul. Even though it's been years, angry Hee Chul is no one's choice, so he opened his mouth again and closed his eyes " I work as a waiter and unbelievably, I am pretty good at it."
He didn't dare open his eyes because he was afraid of the other's reaction but when he heard nothing for a few minutes, he opened them and saw him staring at him. He then said "okay, decide how many shocks you are going to give me in one night. First, I found you, which is great. Second, you have a daughter who I find adorable. Third, you are living a life I never imagined you in and last, you said you work as a waiter. The mighty leader of 14 crazy dorks, who the world respected, the nation's MC is working as a waiter. How come no one has ever recognized you?" He finished sighing and breathing.
Although, he had his head hung low all the time, the last sentence made him chuckle a bit. He said " well, they don't identify me because first, most of them have forgotten me and second, I always make sure to cover myself." He looked at the other again and the other asked again " do you miss them? Do you miss us together?" He just nodded with his head hung low. But the next sentence shocked him and that was " do you want to meet them?" He had his eyes out of eye balls and heart out of rib cage. Basically, everything was out of place. He shook his head vigorously and said " you all looked happy this year unlike past few years. You have just become closer to each other again and I don't want to break it again by my presence."
It took him a few minutes to register his words but then he said " believe me, we came closer because we all had a mutual feeling of missing you. But anyways, does Heemi know of your past, your past as a part of us?" He shook his head again and said " no, I have never told her. I never had the courage to do so. Also, it's meaningless because I can never be a part of you again."
As soon as he said this, he saw Hee Chul taking his phone out of his pocket and make a call. He didn't know who was being called so he waited patiently. He heard the rings go all the way and felt his heart thumping in the same rhythm. Finally, the call was picked before the last ring could go off. He heard a few sleepy hellos here and there and understood that it is a group call. Hee Chul then put the call on speaker mode and said" Super Junior emergency." Before he could continue everyone started questioning him "if he had found Teukie hyung, how was he, what was he doing, thanking God for him being alive, etc." And then came what he dreaded the most. Kyuhyun suddenly shouted on the phone " if it's a joke I am not talking to you anymore hyung and if it is not bring him to the Wookie's restaurant tomorrow, sharp at 5:00 pm."
As soon as he heard this and other members agreeing to it, he pleadingly looked towards Hee Chul. Hee Chul was smiling all the way and now he said " I already wanted you to meet someone tomorrow and now since, you have picked the time and place, let's meet. Everyone, you can bring you partners but no kids allowed. Meeting dismissed. Good night." And he cut the call.
He said again " see, I told you they still love you but are just a bit angry from you because you just went away. Without telling anyone anything." He looked at him and said " did you hear their voice, they hate me now. I can't meet them in their eyes." " And who had asked you to meet them?" Hee Chul said.
