REMUS WAVED A hand in front of Bonnie's face. Bonnie blinked away the thoughts, bringing her eyes back to Remus's face. He gave her a weary smile. "You look as if this is your first time seeing the common room. You sure you're okay?"

"Never better," she said with a smile. Shaking her head again, she walked with him to the boy's dorm steps. "I can help set up. Just let me go freshen up, yeah?"

"Be quick!" he yelled as she ran to her dormitory.

Bonnie saw the door with a large piece of paper on it. It had LILY, ALICE, MARY, MARLENE, and BONNIE'S ROOM! written on it. It was decorated with each of their own designs making more tears pool in her eyes. Knowing she had to be quick, she ran into the room. A gasp left her lips as it all looked the same. She quickly ran to her trunk and smiled brightly at the paintings all over it. Bonnie gave up painting after Lily's death. Lily was always her number one supporter.

Pulling off the leather jacket, she changed her clothes. She brushed her teeth and hair, and she felt better than she had all day. Quickly slipping on a pair of shoes, she grabbed Sirius's jacket. Remus was waiting at the bottom of the steps with a curious gleam in his eyes.

Bonnie gave Remus Sirius's jacket, to which he just rolled his eyes and told her to keep it for now. They had things to do. She shrugged it back on, feeling odd to have kept it for this long. Feeling her pocket for her wand, she took it out when Remus instructed. He told her what needed to be done, starting with hanging up the banner Peter, James, and Remus made.

Bonnie couldn't help but ask to add something to it, an old memory she could remember. Remus only shrugged again and moved to get the food and drink table set up. He watched her from afar after she had made it back from her dorm with painting supplies. He didn't even know she painted, hell, he didn't really know her until the night before when she had screamed bloody murder between yelling the Marauders' names.

Remus could see the odd glint in Bonnie's eyes as she glanced at him here and there making him wonder what the hell happened the night prior. It seemed as if she knew something he didn't, and he hated the feeling. She had apparently made quite the impression on James and Sirius as well because they asked if Peter or Remus knew anything about her when they made it back to the dorm. Remus couldn't help but ask Lily that morning in classes if she was all right. He felt suddenly very protective of her, and he didn't know why. Maybe it was the way she cried as she yelled for him or the way she was standing here helping him when she didn't have to, but he felt this weird feeling.

When he finished up what he was doing, he walked to see her finishing up her painting. She had made the banner look a lot better than the chicken scratch they had done. She went over their handwriting, bolding it with red, Sirius's favorite color. She added a lion in one corner with a doodle of a leather jacket in the other. His eyes widened when she conjured a spell to make the lion move around the paper before settling back in place. She glanced up at Remus, grinning as wide as ever. Just who was Bonnie Miller?

"How'd you know red was Sirius's favorite color?" Remus asked.

Bonnie shrugged, using her wand to make the banner hang itself up. It looked beautiful, much to the amazement of Remus. He didn't know she could paint so well. "Lucky guess." There was more than she was letting on, no doubt.

Bonnie watched him process her words before nodding. He smiled slightly. "Come on, we need to get to the kitchen before my free period is up." Bonnie nodded and followed him out of the portrait. He pulled out the Marauders' Map from his robe pockets, thinking he was hiding it, before murmuring the words to make it work. "Filch in on the fourth floor, we need to sneak past him. We'll go through the portrait of the four cows coming up."
