mia, alessya and julia were currently getting ready for a party. the three came to new jersey to spend their summer before senior year started, mia was a bit hesitant at the idea but she was going for her best friend's sake. she didn't wanna think too much about her past in jersey so she tried not to.

mia: dresses or no
julia: uhh i'm not wearing one
alessya: me neither
mia: i guess no dresses
alessya: it's a party but i just don't feel comfortable with people i don't know
julia: true, i'm not getting raped the second day in jersey
mia: omg you're not gonna get raped julia

the girls laughed as they continued getting ready, mia chose a red long sleeve cropped shirt, black ripped jeans with jordan 1s retro high bloodline. she had a crease guard on knowing how active she is, she looked in the mirror and smiled at the reflection.

alessya: i hope i find a boyfriend
julia: at a party, really alessya
alessya: what, i've been single for a while and i miss having one
julia: so do i but at a party
alessya: ugh whatever
mia: jersey does have hot guys so you'll get lucky

the three danced to a random sound (idk lmao u pick) and were out the door heading to the party a few houses down. julia rented mia's old house and mia hasn't seen mattia at all, it's not like she wanted to see him but she wanted to know if he was doing okay. alessya opened the door as alcohol and weed was inhaled, they mainly drank but never smoked. mia on the other hand, she used it after her breakup with mattia, it calmed her down but her addiction faded away.

alessya: ok, let's loose and have some fun
julia: no shit alessya

they took three shots of tequila and started dancing, mia was used to alcohol since she would drink some purposely when she was younger. only a bit.

mia headed to the bathroom to freshen up and saw a couple making out, she closed the door immediately and bumped into someone.

mia: shit sorry
?: you're good

she looked up and was met with hazel eyes and fluffy hair, she rubbed her eyes once more and they widened. mattia. she felt tears coming down her face but she pretended she didn't know him.

mattia: never seen you around
mia: i'm here for the summer
mattia: you look familiar
mia: oh
mattia: mia?

she walked right past him and started running home, she wasn't ready to face him, she was a strong girl but she wasn't comfortable. it was two years ago but seeing him brought back all the bad memories. she went to her room and flopped on the bed staring at the ceiling.

i hate it here she thought to herself.

mattia's eyes widened as he realized he was talking to mia, she walked right past him and she tried chasing him but was blocked off.

mattia: cynthia move
cynthia: who are you running after
mattia: m- nobody, sorry
cynthia: let's get some drinks

cynthia grabbed his hand as they walked inside, mattia wanted to apologize for how they left off but mia was long gone. he took drinks and he was fully drunk.

mattia: guys, mia was just here!
kai: you're drunk mattia
mattia: i'm being fr, i just talked to her
kai: mia, mia rivera, the girl you cheated on
mattia: thanks for reminding me dip shit and yes, that mia
ale: still hot
mattia: shut up
kai: you have cynthia bro
mattia: she's pissing me off
ale: we know

mia took a quick shower and did her night routine, she texted julia and alessya she went home but she knew they were too drunk. she didn't wanna go bring them home knowing she would see him but it was the least she could do. she put her slides on and left the house.

she saw alessya and julia dancing and knew how drunk they were.

mia: home time
julia: whyy we just got here
mia: it's been three hours julia, c'mon
alessya: i met a cute boy, his name is alejandrooo
mia: ok, now let's get you home

she smiled as she remembered alejandro, he was practically a brother to her and she cherished their friendship.

alessya: here he is, alejandro meet my best friend mia WAIT MIA you used to be friends with a guy alejandro, is this him
mia: yes it is him alessya, hi ale
ale: it's good to see you again mia
mia: yeah, now i gotta take these two home
julia: what about my boy kairi, you know him right
mia: let's go
ale: here lemme help uhh, KAIRI COME HELP ME

she saw the little 5'4 boy running up to them, he still hasn't grown but she was happy to see him.

ale: it's mia
kai: MIA OMG HI
mia: hi kai
kai: you glew up
mia: thanks, you grew a bit
kai: fuck you, lemme help with julia

mia thanked both of the boys as they left the house, they started walking home as mia was smiling being with the friends she loved. hearing panting and footsteps behind them, her eyes met mattia's. she sighed and continued walking.

i wanna go home she thought to herself.
