Happy reading <3 >

Harley slammed the door shut to his room, falling against it and sliding down it. His knees tucked under him as he ran his hands through his brown hair.

"Fuck." He shakily mumbled, pulling himself off the floor.

He threw his book bag at the foot of his desk, ripping stuff out of it and slamming them onto the table. He plopped in his chair, staring at the books and papers he was having to do for homework.

There was a knock on his door and he growled, "Go away!"

"Oh, ok." Morgan mumbled on the other side.

He listened to the padding of footsteps cease. He grumbled, harshly grabbing a pen, and began to do his homework.

It didn't take long, of course. The the boy was done in about an hour. He threw all his stuff back in his bag and sat there, staring at the wall. He didn't know how long he was sitting there for, cause he heard another knock at the door.

"Hey... Harl-" Peter's voice came through, but was cut off.

Harley wanted to throw something, anything, at the door, but instead yelled, "Leave me alone, Peter! I don't need you making my day worse!"

"S-Sorry." Peter responded without a frail voice. "Um... dinner w-"

"Fuck off." Harley sneered.

"Okay." The other responded, his footsteps sounding and ceasing quickly.

Harley crossed his arms, turning his chair around to look out his window. The sun was almost done setting, and his room became darker. He was quick to get up and turn the light on, letting his room become as bright as can be.

There was another knock at his door and he groaned, "I told you to fucking leave me alone, Peter!"

He turned to find his mother standing against the doorframe, a look of sadness crossing her face, "Harley..."

"What?" Harley snapped back.

Pepper said nothing as she moved, closing the door, and sitting on the edge of his bed. She patted the spot next to her with a soft smile. Harley furrowed his eyebrows, plopping next to her.

The woman wrapped her arms around Harley, who tensed up and flinched. Though, his body fell limp against hers as tears welded in his eyes.

"Honey, you need to talk to us." Pepper softly said.

Harley grumbled, "I don't need to."

"Yes you do." Pepper protested. "Your in pain. I see it, we all do. Though, your expressing it through anger and it's hurting others."

Harley fell silent. His mother stood up, forcing him to lay down, and tucking him under his covers. The boy looked at her with confusion, but pursed his lips when she sat on the edge of the bed again and ran her fingers through his hair.

She hummed softly and Harley, who of course wouldn't admit it, liked it. He closed his eyes and matched his breathing with her tune. He felt at ease and content and it didn't take him long to fall asleep.
