"And you are all done, you are now fully recovered! Promise that something like this will never happen again?" The doctor asked.
"I was young and naive back then, but now I know. Thank you very much." Diana said.
Today was August 10th, a day before Diana was supposed to be discharged, however she shown signs of great recovery at faster speeds than normal.
After the whole incident, Diana became a changed person. No longer addicted to drugs, she learned her lesson. She looked at herself in the waiting room mirror and realized how she looked like when it all happened. She was so excited to see all of her friends that she missed so much, pulling out her phone in excitement to text them.
Diana
Hey all, I just got discharged from the hospital. Meet me at the Donuteria today!Blake
Wow, that's awesome! We missed you so much!Bella Cherry
OH MY! I can't wait to see you again!Sana
Thank the heavens that you are ok!Whitney
We were worried sick about you!Diana ran to her family, who was waiting for her. They hugged her tightly, none of them ever knew what happened, but Diana promised that something like that will never happen again.
Her father, and her 4 siblings were with her. Her mother divorced her father at a young age, so she never had many moments with her. But, that was fine. Because Diana loves her family the same way that she loves them. Family is extremely important to Diana, and although they are not perfect, nobody is.
Diana left the hospital with her parents and went back to Powder Point. After being at home for a little, she left her house and went to Papa's Donuteria.
Everybody was waiting for her and they smiled when Diana came in.
"DIANA!" Whitney ran time her and gave her a massive hug.
"I'm glad you're ok!" Blake said.
"I know we normally meet at the pizzeria and stuff, but I thought it would be ok to meet here." Diana said softly.
"No, we didn't want you rushing too much around here!" Paris said.
"Wait, shouldn't you be recovering still?" Fred asked.
"Well, I've been recovering for so long, it's not like they did any procedures on me or anything." Diana said while slightly rolling her eyes.
Caleb didn't say or do anything for a while until he walked up to Diana and hugged and kissed her.
"I missed you, you don't know how much I missed you. Don't scare me like that again, ok?"
Most of the servers looked at Caleb in pure anger while Sage looked at Caleb, hurt and betrayed. How could Caleb one second go on about how much he hates Diana and how annoying she is, but then turn all soft and mushy in front of her?
If Diana found out that Caleb was the cause of all of this, she would fall apart and go back to the old her, the Diana that nearly ended her life because of her habits.
Diana just smiled as they hugged each other.
Blake looked at Sage from a distance and noticed Sage nervously biting his lip. Although he never knew the full story, he could tell. Sage was focused on Caleb, and not on Diana.
After all was done, Diana decided to start making donuts. Caleb paid for everybody on the house and that made everything slightly better.
Or at least it might seem that way.
Despite them all being around each other's company, there were some bumps and twists in everybody's friendship with each other. Not everybody likes the other. Ok, some might get along with everybody, but some secretly despise others. But it all gets a temporary solve when that person buys food.
Sage was jealous of Diana even though her and Caleb had a platonic relationship. Every time Caleb kissed Diana, he knew it wasn't from the heart, but he felt betrayed, hurt, and he wished that Diana was out of the picture. Not dead, but if they never dated at all.
Sometimes, you see something and you don't know the whole backstory about it. Or, you know and something that contradicts it makes all of the things you knew before a lie.
"DESSERT IS READY!"
Sage got back to his senses and ran to the counter where Diana made 4 dozen donuts.
"After all of this, I still know how to make donuts!"
Diana suddenly seemed to look older. She looked taller and more mature. Growing from a child and into an adult. Once the most crazy, and now having a piece of mind. She took a powdered donut from the pile and enjoyed it, snuggling with Caleb as he took a donut with vanilla icing on top.
Sage still burned with jealously, but hit it by biting into his donut. He was in his own corner along, Sana was also in another corner, Blake and Hallie were cuddling, and Ty and Whitney were laughing together. Everybody else was mingling with each other.
Some days are bitter and some days are sweet.
It's just life.
People have bitter sides and sweet sides. Just like a donut.
The dry and dough flavored side.
And the sugar coated or frosted side full of flavor and the reason why you eat the donut in the first place.
You want to see people's sweet side.
But oh, you must tackle their bitter and dry side too. That's commitment.
