Vanessa's P.O.V

Our group are all slumped around our living room eating pizza out of the takeout boxes. It's a first day celebration treat. We had tonight off at work as I predicted we would need recovery for the day. We had Netflix Brooklyn 99 playing on the TV. We were having a competition of who got the worst teachers this year, I wasn't even in the running since I'm pretty happy with my schedule apart from a few classes I know that will have Ryan in.

There's one thing that I can't get out of my head. Him. Axel. I figured someone must know who he is.

"Does anyone know anything about that Axel guy?" Lucas nearly choked on the cheese his pizza.

"You don't know who he is?"

"Should I?" I've seriously missed something here.

"V, he's the most feared guy in our town" Mia's eyes are popping out her head.

"Town? More like city" It's not like Leo to be dramatic.

"How come I've never seen or heard about him?" 

"He transferred to our school the end of last year but rarely came in"

"Well, he was definitely in today" I take another piece of pizza.

"You're best to stay as far away as you can"

"Lucas he can't be that bad"

"Vanessa, I'm serious when I say this. He is dangerous. He does things no normal human would ever do. He's the definition of evil"

"Axel Red is the only person at school we can't protect you from" Wow. Coming from Jacob who's the most confident person in the group it must be true.

We swiftly moved the conversation on but I could still feel the tension. My mind wonders why everyone fears him so much. He's just a boy in high school although he did look a little older. Plus, he sort of saved my ass earlier in class, intently or not he still helped me out.

The week was finally over. It went smoother than I thought. Lessons were a little boring here and there but what can I expect it's school. My locker neighbour still hasn't made an appearance, maybe it's just a spare one in case a new student transfer.

I haven't spotted Axel once, not even in English which I know we have together for a fact. Considering his attitude towards our teacher and the lack of attendance last semester I'm not shocked. All of that aside it's party time. Time for my second lifestyle to begin.

"Weekend bitches" Mia calls wrapping her arm around my shoulder against my locker

"Finally, I've been counting down" Jacob moans.

"Hot shot senior not so hot now" Leo punches his arm.

"It's all the girls throwing themselves at me, it's too much to handle" we all smirk at his ridiculous answer.

"I know, the librarian always had the hots for you" Mia rolls her eyes.

"Are we moving or not losers? I got some college chicks waiting for me" Lucas says strolling around the corner. These two are girl crazy

"College here we come" We all walk towards the exit and I make eye contact with Ryan at the exact same spot as Monday. I really need to stop looking in that direction because I swear every time I do my mood dampens and last time I got injured.

We made it back and packed light bags for what we needed over the weekend since we're staying over. No doubt Ava has made a dress or outfits for Mia and I but either way I packed for a two day party. We piled into Lucas's car and the journey began.
