Forgotten

Monday~

I wake up and you go downstairs. I hear forks hitting against plates. I go to the kitchen and see dishes in the sink. I look in the microwave and see no food. My family always forgets about me. I go in the dining room

"Good morning Rena," my father Mark said

I waved him off and went back upstairs. I went on doordash and ordered me chocolate chip pancakes, bacon, sausage, and orange juice from Denny's. Someone knocked on the door and my sister, Mercedes came in and sat on my bed

"What's wrong sis?" Mercedes asked

"I'm tired of this family forgetting about me. Once i finish cosmetology school, I'm getting my house and moving the fuck up out of here"

"Dad loves y-," Mercedes tried to say before I cut her off

"No he doesn't. He only loves you and Markeise. Me? I'm just forgettable," I said getting up and leaving her in my room

My phone dinged letting me know that my food was here. I opened the door, grabbed the food, and thanked the woman

Ever since my mom died things had been different. I have been feeling Estranged while everyone else felt special and loved. I started eating my food while watching On My Block. I swear Jamal is the funniest character on the show. He's always trying to figure out something

Me and Merena have been close but she was always the odd one out. She never liked talking to anyone and just stayed to herself all the time. I was the complete opposite. My dad was kind of petty when he only made breakfast for me and my brother knowing Merena was gonna be hungry.

I decided to get dressed for the day since Markeise was gonna take me shoe shopping. I decided to put on a sleeveless army romper. I sprayed my hair with water and picked it out. I put om some hoops and put on my all black adidas.

I grab my wallet and go into Merena's room

"Where you about to go?" Merena asked looking up at me

"With Markeise to the mall. He's taking me shoe shopping"

"Cool. You can get out though," she said while not paying attention to me

I closed the door and went to my brothers room

"Why can't Rena come with us?"

"Because," he said

"She's our sister Keise"

"And? None of the family is fucking with her anymore. Nobody likes her and i don't even know why her fat ass is still here," he said raising his voice

"I ain't even wanna go anyways. Mercedes didn't even have to ask but since y'all ain't fucking with my fat ass no more I'll leave," Merena said scaring me

I look at Markeise and he just shrugged his shoulders

"You messed up for saying that shit Keise," I said before walking up to Merena's room

I turn the nob and the door wouldn't open

"Merena open the door"

"Nope. I'm leaving and ain't shit you can do about it. Stop acting like you love and care for me cause you don't," she said

"Please Merena"

"Nah. Go be with your family," she said before opening the door. She hand 2 suitcases and 2 duffle bags

My dad came out his room and looked at Merena

"Where you going Rena?" Your dad asked

"Since my fat ass ain't wanted here by anyone I'm leaving and if your asking who said that your son did," Merena said before slamming the door shut
