"Zhere, a gas station!"

I blinked once I heard Prussia's exclamation and I looked over and out the front window to see that there is indeed a gas station not too far ahead.

"Are zhere any infected zhere?" Germany asked, looking over our shoulders.

"I don't know..." Spain murmured as he slowed the van down.

"Wait, is there anyone behind us?" I asked, glancing back.

"No, we're good back here," America said, still looking out the back window and he gave us a thumbs-up over his shoulder.

Then Spain pulled into the small lot. I noticed that there are two abandoned cars. One sitting in front of the small building and another beside one of the gas tanks.

Now that we're close enough, I can see into the building. It's a mess; a shelf or two were knocked over, plenty of things are scattered around the floor, but I don't see any movement in there. Whatever happened in there, and whoever did it, they don't appear to be there any more.

"Is it safe to go in?" France asked, staring at the building cautiously.

"We should get some supplies while we're here," England murmured. "Since we will probably be traveling for a while."

"We will?" I couldn't help but to ask.

He nodded, "As far as I know, nowhere's safe to stay."

"For once, I agree with Angleterre. We should get supplies," France said with a nod.

"I think only a few should go in," America suggested. "And the rest can stay in here."

"Sounds like a plan," England murmured. Spain parked the van in front of the building, and once he did, America opened one of the back doors. He peeked out, turning his head to look around us.

"Doesn't look like there's any infected around here," he said. "But we should hurry on in there."

"Who all is going in?" Germany asked, meeting the gazes of everyone in here.

"I'rr go," Japan spoke up, but then Germany shook his head.

"Nein, not you. You're feeling sick, ja? You should stay in here und rest."

Japan stood anyway, "I'm feering a rot better at the moment. I feer I shourd come arong in case we do run into any danger."

Germany sighed, "If you're sure, zhen alright."

"I'll come," Canada spoke up as he stood. "I'll help gather what we need."

"Are you sure?" I asked.

He nodded, "I don't want to be useless throughout...the time I have left. What worse could happen to me?"

"You could get hurt," Oregon murmured.

Canada met her worried gaze with a small, reassuring smile that looked more forced than natural. "I'll be alright."

"I'll-a stay here," Italy said softly.

"Alright," England said with a little nod. "Those of you who are going, hurry up and do it already. We don't know how long we have until more of the infected show up."

I nodded in agreement, not wanting to imagine what would happen to us if we happened to run into more infected people.

But then I bit my lip. Should I come with them, or stay here?

I'd be more comfortable staying here, but it want to come along to make sure no one gets hurt...

Then I stood up, "I'll come along."
