"So, why work for him?"
Tadashi looked at Shika curiously, tilting his head as he said, "I'm surprised you're asking."
"Well, if not me, it would be my brother, and you saw how he reacted," she deadpanned.
"That's true," he admitted. "You're still a bit salty, though."
"Very," she crossed her arms. "You tried to kill my brother, and you betrayed us. How do you expect us NOT to be?"
"You have a point," he smiled sadly. "I won't pretend that it never happened. But to be honest.... I wasn't the only one working for him."
"Wait what?!" Her eyes widened.
"Yeah..." he looked up into the air, a nostalgic smile evident as he continued, "His name was Kenji, and he had the most beautiful pair of purple eyes I've ever seen."
"What happened to him?"
"He left... That's why I had to stay... I thought I had an obligation to him... But..." He exhaled. "Seeing you guys forgiving me... It kinda struck a cord for me."
"That's kinda sweet," she smiled before looking back at the fire they had made in the castle, watching it flow out through the holes in the ceiling. "I'm glad you're back Tadashi."
"I am too," he admitted, a smile clear on his own face.
