You told me that I was your light
But I only saw you in the way
You pushed me towards the waves
But I wanted to push you away
The loving smile you gave every day
Made me turn away
And the heart you gave for me to hold
Could easily be let go today
I wanted it all, the unrealistic dreams
But your caution brought me pain
I hated how you stopped me
In order not to prevail
An angel in the way
I couldn't cross the tracks
Because you might have saved me
